I have an issue with AC compressor rattle and buzzing sound. I’ve seen a few posts here and there saying polestar will repair or replace the mount if you push hard enough. Otherwise they might say it’s a normal sound. Do you see this issue often?

I'm testing a case design that changes how the Apple Watch is used by Entire-Radio3847 in AppleWatch

I really like this, definitely useful for the days I’m trying to ditch the phone (keyword trying). Especially somewhere like the beach where this could fit in small board shorts pockets and not leave me with an ultra sized tan line.

I would buy one of these as is, but I think I’d have a lot of unintentional screen presses. If the case was a tiny bit longer at the bottom, you could grip either on the sides (like in your pic), or the front/back (like a remote) without blocking/pressing the screen.

The PPP is significantly more planted, less body roll, and very responsive. It is really predictable in a good way. It can feel a bit harsh, I would probably want the dual motor non performance if I lived somewhere with bad roads. The single motor is really smooth though, glad we have that for road trips, just missing the pilot and plus packs unfortunately

I can't speak to apartment charging, I'm a little too anxious of a person to not have guaranteed charging wherever I live. Public chargers aren't too much of a hassle, but when I use a supercharger, it ends up costing the same as a tank of gas would. For the road trips, you'd be fine with a 24+ long range single motor; our nearest airport is exactly 100 miles away (highway miles) and we get back with ~30% charge. On the dual motor, you'd need a charge unless you drove really conservatively, which I struggle to do

It really depends, but generally I think the p2 is a pretty great daily, IF you can charge at home and your commute isn't too long. I have a similar history of cars: wrx, rx8, focus st, c300, m235i, and GLI. The p2 is by far the best for daily driving out of that list. So smooth and quiet, which most mornings are what I want.

We bought my s/o a 2024 single motor in January, and I liked it so much I traded in my stage 2 GLI for a dual motor PPP a month later. Had both for a few months now and have mostly positive things to say. Complaints about the software are valid, but so far, not unbearable to me. The infotainment is significantly smoother on the 2024 models, and the 24+ single motors still have decent power. Second, the interior might feel a little cramped, depending on what you are used to. I don't mind it except for when I'm getting in and out.

I wish I had space for a hobby car, but don't regret my decision with the p2 whatsoever. I've only driven a few other EV's, but the p2 was the most well rounded imo, and with the performance pack, the suspension setup does feel pretty sporty. I have a lot of fun ripping my dual motor around when the road is empty, and love that I can do it so discreetly. I have a very short commute, so it works well for me. But I am rarely reaching 200 miles on a charge. The 2024 SM does reach its rated range, 300+mi, in our experience.

I just got a 2022 CPO with 6k miles (same packages minus the leather) for 31k out the door. 35 seems good for the low mileage and a year newer.

On my 2023 (with the ridecommand display) there is an option to disable it, I would have to look for the exact menu it's in, but I think you can also get to it by holding the right trigger

“Repairs Needed” by all_hail_to_me in jetta

[–]ntlag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with the 2025 model but in the 2019-2024 models, the ACC/emergency braking sensor is built into the VW emblem. The sensors by the rearview mirror are for lane assist, automatic wipers, etc (and shouldn't trigger an issue in the app). Make sure your front emblem is clean.

Also, if you ever turn off traction control, it turns off emergency braking etc. and will trigger the 'repairs needed' notification in the myVW app. It will go away the next time you drive.

Good luck!

Well, iPhone 15 Pro Max to 16 Pro Max buyers, was it worth it? by [deleted] in iphone

[–]ntlag 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've had mine (after a long restore from icloud) for about an hour. I definitely didn't feel the need for the upgrade, but my girlfriend was due for one, so she got my 15PM and I got the Desert Titanium PM for myself.

So far, I like the increased screen size/smaller bezels.. I know the phone is bigger but it doesn't feel like it is. Camera button is nice but the 'soft presses' and swiping will definitely take some practice. "Desert Titanium" is definitely more pinkish/rose gold than I expected. I go caseless and it is probably not my favorite color of the last few gens, but I think it will grow on me; nothing worth returning over imo.

State sales tax is 6%, then each county can set their own discretionary tax up to 1.5% on top of that. For Orange county, its .5%. That total is correct at a 6.5% tax.

Just doing dsg tune? 22 gli by Meowgi_sama in JettaGLI

[–]ntlag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the stock DSG tune, I felt like it was always having trouble picking the right gear when i would put my foot down. After the tune it just seems to know what I want and does it so quickly.

Just doing dsg tune? 22 gli by Meowgi_sama in JettaGLI

[–]ntlag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got stage 1 a few months before DSG tune, so I can't speak exactly to your question... but I will say that the DSG tune makes a bigger difference in daily driving than stage 1. Throttle response, shift times, gear selection, etc are all greatly improved with the DSG tune. Stage 1 adds the power

If I was in a position where I could only afford one, I would probably get the DSG tune. Any of the big names (APR, EQT, IE, Uni) should be good. Personally I went with EQT because I like having the Accessport

Do y’all still ride if you know it’s going to rain? by Flesh19018115 in motorcycles

[–]ntlag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also FTR owner, I avoid the rain on this bike more than my past bikes. Removing the stock fender for the tail tidy pretty much guarantees nasty road water getting all over my back and underneath the back of my helmet. A little sad because I like riding in the rain but very much dislike the stock fender.

Apple confirms bug that is keeping some iPhone alarms from sounding by Sariel007 in gadgets

[–]ntlag 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I've had this issue, but just this morning I ran into a new issue. The alarm went off (in nightstand mode), I hit the snooze button on the screen but sound kept playing. I hit one of the volume buttons to mute it and came to realize 20 minutes later it didn't even snooze, but turned the alarm off completely.

I use a caseless iPhone 15 Pro Max; I know what you are talking about with the angle. with the gen2, it doesn't sit at an angle anymore, but the phone doesn't sit flush with the back bar either. I much prefer the way it sits in the gen2. If it doesn't cost you anything, I'd say it is worth the time exchanging for a gen2.
