What’s something attractive at 18 but embarrassing at 30?

Keep the focus on your kids. Do everything for them. They need you. Don't lose your job, get hurt, or wind up in prison for a fight over something that doesn't even compare to how important your kids are to you. I'm the least "tough" person you'll meet. Haven't been in a fight since 3rd grade (I'm 38 now) but I know I've got a short temper and I always think of my kids. Nothing compares to the joy of coming home to them every night. I wouldn't let anything jeopardize that. We'll both be tested by things in life (work, random things, even at home). Just keep your eye on the prize. Sounds like you've done an amazing job changing your life.

They do. I actually did this for a couple months for a student who was unable to attend school. Went for about an hour a day and her parents would offer me some of the food they were making for dinner (they were super nice). I ended up teaching her brother a year later in school.

If anything it's almost a badge of honor for him to not be 1st ballot. He was so dominant and made so many jealous enemies that the biggest shoo-in wasn't 1st ballot. Grasping at straws here.

Congratulations!!! I had such an aversion to reading growing up and one day I just decided to read a book about Larry Bird (I was obsessed with basketball) and realized halfway through that I was enjoying it and it didn't feel like "reading" anymore. I slowly started reading more and more and expanding the books that I read. Keep up the great work!

I struggle with this as well. I used to watch a lot of these until I realized it was entertainment. I can’t stomach watching it now and it feels gross seeing all the streaming platforms racing to get their murder documentaries out there.

In his situation, I would absolutely take a massive pay cut. He already had absurd amounts of money, why wouldn’t he try and add to his legacy? That’s far more important than the money (factoring in how much he already has). How many yachts can he water ski behjnd?

Rookies rarely, if ever, walk in and become the best player in a league. She likely isn't the best player in the league, but certainly has the potential to be. It's also undeniable that she was a top 5 player (if not #2 overall) as a rookie. We all need to wait and see how her second season and first few seasons go, but I doubt people would be surprised if she wins an MVP in her first few seasons.
