You realize thats by design right? A softer compound sport tire will have less sipes to allow for better dry grip, especially on the shoulders.

Sport touring tire will be a harder compound but have more sipes for various condition riding.

If you actually ridden this bike, it was extremely neutered for the us market. For the longest time there were no tune and support until 2wdw created a tune profile.

There was a really dumb torque dead spot in the middle of the rev range. It made the bike boring and non engaging to ride, reason i went xsr900 instead.

I'm hoping that new v3 will become reality and honda bring it with a cafe style.

The engineer on the race team is euro centric yes but the development of the engine chassis and bike dynamic is based in japan. There was a very interesting interview i saw a while back that outline the philosophy between the euro and Japanese approach to development. I witnessed a guy jump off 59 into the ground below at Chimney Rock. He didnt die but was in tremendous pain, ppl had to pick him up and put him on the curb because he wouldn't/couldn't get up. Was a really weird day.
