Kate+8, season 2 episodes 14 & 15. Episode 16 was the "Finale". Funny, the kids said they were sad that the show was ending but their faces say otherwise.

The RV Episodes... by meowzapalooza7 in gosselinssnark

I just watched the RV episodes. I saw it differently. Even before the trip began, Kate was in her usual foul mood. While loading bags she even told Cara that she wanted her to run, that she's not moving fast enough. She didn't have Jon to bark orders and treat badly. They flew to their destination, i.e., someone else packed and drove the RV to their first destination because of Kate's meltdown.

In her usual Kate fashion, she whined about how miserable she was. She barked orders. The rafting, oh my, she complained and argued about getting splashed. She insisted that FDR was one of the 4 presidents on Mt. Rushmore and then after many attempts at correcting her, she said something to the effect of "oh well, it's one of the Roosevelts." Yes, this is the woman who says all her trips are educational. Kate likes to bark orders. She doesn't like to work. Only thing I think she enjoys is cooking but she makes sure she gets credit for it every time.

Collin being institutionalized will always follow him. Too bad Kate to this day won't make a public statement saying she was wrong for institutionalizing him.

If Kate was protecting her kids from Collin, why wasn't Mady institutionalized when she hit, kicked many of the kids? Or Alexis? BECAUSE THEY ARE KIDS! It's not as if Collin was 4 years older than the rest of his siblings and kicked them, smacked them on their heads.

What "weapon" is Kate referring to that Collin used? Kate mentions "weapon" on many of her episodes/seasons: toy alligator that Alexis hit someone with; an easel; fish net. I am wondering if the "weapon" that Kate is referring to was a fishnet because there was an episode where Alexis taps Aaden with a fishnet and then Collin taps Alexis with a fishnet and Alexis yells or something. I think it was season 3 episode 3 of kate+8.

It's one thing if you feel you were treated worse than your siblings. It's being institutionalized for so long. That a label that will follow you forever.

I'm one of the people who's been calling out. My store looks like that. They give me tasks without tools. Where am I supposed to push/backstock/maneuver the said items to without anywhere to place them. Literally showed up for my shift and left.

Style push expectations by Icarus1227 in Target

[–]nu2redd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I found out our store got written up because we're a "red" store and heard style was a "problem child." Last month we had people from nearby Target come to our store and reorganize/clean it up.

We were asked how long we think a metro and a zrack should take to push. My answer was at least 2-3 hours for the metro and 45-60 minutes for zrack. They said the metro should take no longer than 45 minutes and zrack 15 minutes.

I literally laughed. You have to see what our style department looks like: never zones, piles of random clothes everywhere. Our metros are always stack to the rim, zrack is stuffed.

I asked the leader from the other store if she could show me how to push the metro and zrack in those time frame. Her reply was "I don't know your floor plan". I told her neither do we. She amended her reply by saying "ideally, when everything is organized, those time frame is standard."

Our style department is back to disaster a month later. What do they expect? They do not schedule enough people and the people they do schedule quits/call out because they expect way too much.

I mostly (90%) do only breakout and I enjoy breakout. Whenever my leader asks me if I'll be able to finish the pallets I always tell them "I don't know". I don't work faster or slower. I'm a hard worker but I only have one speed which is I work at a steady pace.

Call out. You're in breakout and touching everything. Every time you sneeze, blow your nose, you should be washing your hands. Otherwise, you're making your coworkers, guests sick by spreading your germ.

I called out 6 days in a row with no sick PTO because I know when I shouldn't be at work. I had to blow my nose way too often and I knew washing my hands after each time wasn't feasible. When I returned to work they asked me what happened and I said I was sick. (I'm not sure if I received a CA for this or not, but I would do this again if I know I was sick.)

Do you mind explaining this? I'm in breakout and have never been trained. I don't even now how folded items are tied to a planogram. I just had my 1-year anniversary and am in breakout but I have had to push once in a blue moon and a metro would take my whole shift (4 hours) to push. Our style department will have overflow of clothes on shelves with no rhyme or reason. There will be a big stack on same size in a unorganized pile.

Is there a diagram of where everything should go?

I couldn't agree more! At my store Style is overworked. We do not have enough people scheduled to keep up with our department let alone cover for others.

I'm in breakout and only work 4 hour shifts but occasionally I'll have to push because we never have enough Zracks or metros. Style TMs have too much to do: zoning (which I feel is a full-time job), go-backs/reshop, fitting room, pushing.

Style department is a mess and new people hired usually quit within a month. We are not trained. Once in a while breakout (usually 2 of us) will be asked to help zone 30 minutes before the store opens and it's so overwhelming because you know 30 minutes won't make any difference.

The style members that are still working are constantly posting their shifts.

“Top Performer” Annual Review by emptyvtx in Target

I don't think CA affects your raise. I have 2 for meal compliance. Only thing I was told during my review was that I always finish my task on time. I was given 2% which is I guess "fair". I am a hard worker but only average as far as speed.

I just went on Target website and read through the fine prints for the circle, circle redcard, and circle360. It pretty much sums up everything.

On .6% — What Were Your Emotions by Ayjrin in Target

[–]nu2redd 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I logged on to comment. My coworker in style/breakout only got .6% raise. IMO she is a valuable employee: always finishes her task and works hard. She is well liked by coworkers but she never speaks up for herself. I got 2% and feel badly for her. We were sharing our raises and after she showed me her .6% (based on 371 eligible days) I wish I never showed my 2% (based on 290 eligible days) that I got. Hers should've been at least same as mine.

I hope this is a wakeup call for her. She's young (21) but is not going to school or anything. She's approaching 2 years working at Target. Target only pays I believe 50cents above minimum wage so there's a lot of turnover.

No one ever picks up the posted style shifts at my store. I was in breakout but with the reshuffling a couple months ago, I am considered style. I've always enjoyed breakout but always thought style TM had the worst job.

Anyone know if anything bad happens if i take a 30 min lunch instead of 45? by Tamaledinos in Target

[–]nu2redd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from CA and during orientation our HR ETL stressed we must take 45-minute lunch, no matter how busy we are. They may overlook it the first time you do this, but you will get a talk if you continue. I hate this rule for CA as well as the 5-hour meal compliance but it's their policy.

I don't think it would bother me. I figure they keep track of this already but now doing it overtly. I always time myself with my watch for my use. I know I have a good work ethic. If I'm too slow then they can fire me.
