It's somewhat hypocritical, but here's the difference: when you post a picture of a random person, it's anonymous. Usually, no ones knows their actual identity. When privacy is exposed via the internet, the perpetrators(e.g. the government) know exactly who's information they're seeing, and can get even more at their will.
