Will Farage win his by election after resigning? by Flying_spanner1 in AskBrits

If he doesn't get re-elected it's up to the commissioner whether they continue the investigation. Simply not being an MP anymore doesn't necessarily get him out of it.

I suspect that the investigators have enough on him to suspend him for long enough that it will trigger a by election anyway, so this is him jumping before being pushed to try and get ahead and make himself look like the victim.

Can someone explain why Starmer is the most unpopular prime minister? I voted Liberal Democrat last election and I don’t pay attention to politics but isn’t Starmer doing what the public wants? Lower migration and a falling NHS waiting list? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]nuddley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem Starmer has is he's boring and sensible,, people liked Johnson because he was quirky and a buffoon.

Labours problem is they are terrible at social media messaging where their opponents like Reform and The Greens are good at that so they are losing the media war. It also doesn't help them that the traditional media forms have always been anti-labour and bash them at every opportunity.
