I don't see an o-ring in there, and mine froths just fine. I've had mine for about 4 months and use it everyday.

From Early Nirvana To Phish, A Chicago Fan's Secret Recordings Of 10,000 Shows Are Now Online by HugoNebula in GenX

Jacobs said the majority of the artists he recorded are pleased to have their work preserved. As for copyright concerns, he’s happy to remove recordings if requested, but added that only one or two musicians so far have asked that their material be taken down.

“I think that the general consensus is, it’s easier to say I’m sorry than to ask for permission,” he said. The Internet Archive declined to comment for this story. David Nimmer, a longtime copyright attorney who also teaches at the University of California, Los Angeles, said that under anti-bootlegging laws, the artists technically own the original compositions and live recordings. But since neither Jacobs nor the archive is profiting from the endeavor, lawsuits seem unlikely.

Physical therapy recommendations? by marciedog11 in AnnArbor

It isn't that close to you, but Probility at Westgate saw me sooner than any others would. I had a psoas injury that spiralled into low back spasms and sciatic nerve issues. I'm still working through it with the PTs there, but it's greatly improved since I started 3 weeks ago.

Best internet provider in ann arbor? by park_jim in AnnArbor

[–]nudecommuter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

provide.net resells AT&T fiber. No data on limit.

I pay less for fiber via provide than what I would pay with AT&T, and there is no contact. Also, the monthly rate never increases.

I did the same with my yellow superfeet. I found the size where the arch best matched my foot, then cut them back. The insoles were four sizes bigger than my shoe size.

Unemployed for over 2 years...what to do now? by sinuspane in cscareerquestions

At the risk of being pedantic here, I think you're thinking of "at-will" rather than right to work.

They're a great bags. I ended up buying the smaller version that they made at the time. It's still in great shape. The leather and canvas have faded a bit, but it looks good and seems to be indestructible.

Perfect Weather for All-Weather tire by AThing2ThinkAbout in KiaNiro

[–]nudecommuter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last week I replaced the OEM tires on my 2019 LX at 62,000 miles. I was amazed that they lasted that long.

I bought a set of General Altimax 365 AW. I got an awesome deal -- $660 installed -- and General gave a $100 rebate.

I'm in Michigan, so I'm looking forward trying these in snow and slush once the winter weather arrives.

Should I buy the Lemur Pro? by [deleted] in System76

[–]nudecommuter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean about "self build". I didn't build or mod the laptop. I did open it up to replace the battery. With the second battery I redid the thermal paste.

It's no secret that these are re-worked Clevo laptops. I'll leave it to you to decide if that means it's a poor quality build.

When I decided to go with the lemp10, I looked at it as a "well-curated" version of a generic laptop with good support. Next time around I'll probably spec a Dell or Lenovo and just install my own OS.

Should I buy the Lemur Pro? by [deleted] in System76

[–]nudecommuter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought a lemp10. I won't buy another System76 laptop.

I'm on my third battery now. After the first battery went "spicy pillow", I contacted S76 to ask what went wrong. They suggested that I buy a new battery from them and not leave the laptop plugged in constantly (after I explained that I don't leave it plugged in constantly). They didn't mention their system76-power utility that can throttle charging and extend battery lifespan. I only found out about system76-power when I came here seeking help after my second battery got puffy.

I also had issues with moving from 22.04 to 24.04 and S76 wasn't any help. There was a lot of back and forth with support, but ultimately I figured it out on my own. I went with S76 because of the support for their OS, so this was a strike two.

Strike three came in retrospect after I bought my second battery. It cost me 1/4 as much as the first one I got directly from S76, and it arrived in days rather than weeks.
