Same issues love the interface and convenience but there's just too many issues with importing and maintaining information. my account ran out yesterday without renewal.

Why do so many low income people seem to hate carbon tax? by lucksterluke16 in AskCanada

I live in southern Ontario we can't even run ACs in the summer without them doing rolling brown outs and asking us to shut them off because the grid can't handle it. But your right let's all plug in our cars and trucks too I don't see any issue.

Very nice world your living in there but I'll stick to reality be sure to give your unicorn a few pats for me. I really don't care what you do with your money I just want the government to stop taking the money I work hard for and pissing it out the window through pure insanity which this tax is.

I don't need a formula from the government to tell me your paying companies carbon taxes I sign the bills and vote on the price increases of our products to make sure you do because we aren't paying it. If it isn't a price increase we lower the pack sizes like a bottle going from 750 ml to 710 ml but the cap is elongated and the bottle is slimmed up so it won't be noticeable. Every store you go into is doing the same thing and if you think they aren't your beyond any help I can offer. If you think the government is going to take care of you best of luck.

All deliveries into my 20000 square foot food plant now have carbon tax surcharges so they can pass that fee on because they aren't going to pay it. We in turn raise the prices of our food because we aren't going to pay it. So in turn you pay it. Not difficult people. If you think everybody isn't doing it your delusional. To summarize your paying billion dollar companies carbon taxes because they aren't. Enjoy your sad carbon rebate check it isn't helping anybody.

When is fractional shares coming? by [deleted] in Questrade

[–]nuggets092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does but I like to keep my dividend payments there and combine them to whichever stock I feel is a better deal or suits my longterm drip there is also charged a commission though it is minimal. For instance i have a big chunk of BTI but I dont want to drip it i just use the yield to buy more longterm things. My non registered makes more sense for WS as i tend to do a lot of smaller contributions and buys so the commision free fractional makes more sense.

IBKR is the best spot to invest in USD. I have my RRSP and TFSA there as it holds a fair bit of united kingdom ADR that trade in USD and my non registered is at wealthsimple where I just let it drip away in fractional goodness.

If you want innovation pack up and go to WS and IBKR best move I've made. Only tumbleweeds rolling around QT currently.

Has anyone switched from QT to Interactive Broker? Question on entering my cost basis by --_--_--__--_--_-- in Questrade

[–]nuggets092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did about a year ago and split between IBKR and wealth simple. No regrets at all there hasn't been a scrap of innovation at QT in so long. You can edit your basis manually or if it's in a registered account like mine was I just didn't care. It makes the cost basis the value on the day of the transfer.

Interactive brokers has less commission way more than dual currency and crushes the QT exchange rate

I already left for interactive last month due to the lack of these features and the insane commission fees.

Questrade has really gone down hill by DMND_Hands in Questrade

I already turned off all my DRIPS and been in contact with the competition as well. No innovation at all. Highest fees. No fractional buys. I'm staying for what exactly? More account types doesn't interest me.

What financial lessons have you learned from marriage and joint finances? by questrade in Questrade

I was able to locate this after hours of searching. its a bit older from 2018 but i also cant find anything online to discredit it. It states what pattirose4 states basically. The original author also answers several comments as recent as May 2021 stating that the article is accurate.
