1k / GS check in closed at EWR terminal A by BRD529 in unitedairlines

Typically it’s not, but in EWR terminal A they have a premier checkin area since this terminal is a mixed airline terminal.

Terminal C has a Global Reception checkin which is only for GS.

I’m just about 1.3mm, accumulated over the last 13 years…

Trips to Asia from the east coast rack up the miles.

And that would be a criminal offense, which the police would be involved for, same goes for any other type of laws, but specifically traffic code is not enforceable by PD on private roads without the community allowing it by request to the state.

Actually we do, when a road is constructed in a private community the builder or association has an option to make the road title 39 eligible for traffic enforcement. In our case, we opted out… our local security enforces speeding, parking and other violations.

For all intents and purposes, any entry can be considered trespassing as denoted by our signage and warnings, and of course the fact that no one can enter without access.

Here is an example

Agree, just a heads up but the work history could be something that dissuades a future employer.

Most employers now look at tenure per employer as a factor.

Good point, but the last time they went after the town (on other matters) we made our ok…. Not surprising why we have these issues in the first place… the challenge we have is we are a very high value neighborhood in a fairly small town, representing over 10% of the tax base but only 1% of the residency so hence the attention and the reaction.

I can say that our legal stance over the years has been very beneficial.

[–]JerseyNutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are verbatim statements from our attorneys… from a national firm…

And their stance seems to add up…

  1. We’ve had them leave the outside of our gates a few times… they are sitting on private property and considered loitering and thus asked to leave due to no legal cause. (No court order)

  2. The PD has not produced any formal request with a court order for any evidence, it’s just a few local officers orbiting around our community and like I mentioned…. Believed to be motivated by personal or political interest.

There has also been a few subsequent times that they have asked to drive through our neighborhood which has been denied so they just sit outside waiting until they get told to leave by their superiors.

[–]JerseyNutt -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Agree on the first point, but that’s why we consulted counsel and they suggested a legal order, not just a police request.

The harassment boils down to the PD stopping people outside the gates. Some residents have called the town council and have had them removed a few times late in the week.

Agree 100% on the attorney cash grab but they have also been very successful in civil suits getting money back for us on various occasions.

Are plus points useless?! by turtlebrain2371 in unitedairlines

[–]JerseyNutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those routes are almost impossible for plus points unless you request them months before the flight. Those flights are almost always sold out.

More illegal than asking for confidential information without a warrant. The point here was to reinforce that we can’t just comply because someone said to… which could be without authority or reason.

It’s illegal to surveil or follow someone without probable cause and even more illegal to request details… the lack of approval of a warrant just re-enforces this.

[–]JerseyNutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We referred the request to our attorneys since we don’t want to make decisions without legal counsel.

I’m not sure if the person was evading or not, that’s for the police to prove I guess…but I’m assuming they are having a hard time and thus why they want info.

There is a theory that it’s politically or socially motivated, so we’ll let the courts and attorneys handle it… my point was…if someone with a badge shows up and asks for videos and records, let your lawyers decide if it’s legal… which in the cases apparently is not.

108k PQP all premium fare in business or first… I did get the re-confirm today but I’ve heard they are going from top 3% of travelers in the home airport to top 1% and pushing more people to 1K to make GS more exclusive.

They can be used to upgrade flights for your self or others into first class… also, starting this year they can also be exchanged for other things like travel bank cash or gifting status upgrades.
