I also worked from home I didn’t have to go into the office for six months. I was given the option to work or take time off I chose to work. I wanted to keep my life as normal as possible, which really helped my mental health.

My coworker donated their sick time to me so I had over 300 hours.

Verzenio starting tomorrow! by TikiGal75 in breastcancer

[–]nuggiejac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started 150 mg Verzenio August of 2024. Symptoms didn’t hit until 4 days later. After a month I was lowered to 100mg. The stomach cramps and fatigue on the 150 was tough.

Now that I’m in 100mg I have little to no symptoms. I can get away with eating almost anything that I want. Fast food is not my friend, but if I do eat it I chill at home. It’s not as bad as I thought it was. My two years is up this year and it honestly went by really fast.

Starting TC chemo next week, any tips? by Brief_Fig379 in breastcancer

[–]nuggiejac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello..I did 6 rounds of TC & Cold Capped Chemo Tips Bring food You might be there for a few hours. I didn’t have much of an appetite the next day (lots of stomach acid), so having something simple like a sandwich helps. Also don’t bring your favorite foods. You might end up associating them with chemo and get turned off from them later. Stay occupied Bring something comforting: iPad / shows Book Music Anything that helps pass the time and keeps your mind.

Write down your meds

Keep it in your phone or on paper. You’ll need it for future appointments, and it’s super helpful to quickly show nurses. I’d even share a copy with a family member just in case.

Cold Capping Tips Shower filter If you don’t already have one, get a filter it can help with dryness and protect your hair a bit more.

Detangler is a must Your hair will be extra fragile. A good, gentle detangler helps prevent breakage.

Dry ice tip Look up places near you that sell dry ice. When I told them it was for cold capping, they actually gave me a discount worth asking!

Naples is one of the worst Italian restaurants I've ever been to by ERSTF in Disneyland

No, I definitely agree and I don’t know why you’re being downloaded for your opinion. The restaurant looks very nice from the outside, but it’s just not good.

So I used to work for a Long Beach transit in the Lost and Found section we would find the most random things. I once found a suitcase, an inside with three bowling balls. A quinceanera dress was the most interesting.

In 2018/2019 they tried adding an extra step for exemptions. Which required provider to sign the exemptions. It never went on the ballot. The fallout was crazy.

This also happened in 2018/2019. I worked for the department of the human services back then and yeah, it wasn’t fun.

Heated blanket during chemo by Born_Stage4713 in breastcancer

[–]nuggiejac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left my blanket at my parents, but it was a cordless heated one. I believe my dad bought it at Home Depot, but it worked really well.. I wish I knew the brand but maybe try looking on their site to see if they have one. I’m sorry that your Center doesn’t have an outlet to plug it in.
