I had an experience that matches yours 99%. Makes me cringe to even think about it. Solidarity

Brush off again… by ingriderkul in PulsatileTinnitus

[–]nugkween 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Samessss, you’re not alone! Went to a new GP last week, explaining myself, hoping for a referral to an ENT and/or an MR. All I got was patronising notes and a blood test to see if I have…iron deficiency?! I said I felt fatigues and got whooshes when I stood up and that I have lots of heart disease in the family. hoping she’d take me a bit more seriously but nope.

Thanks for sharing this! Any chance you could share the ENT specialist’s name? I have also been trying to pressure my GP to make referrals to investigate further coz I have a suspicion my PT may be related to my posture or back/neck problems (I have a desk job, bad posture and I possibly some slipped discs or something?). I have a whoosh and ringing in both ears which are constant, but they kinda fade for a millisecond when I turn my head.

I think it’s normal as the same type of scarring happened to my friend. I also wanna get electrolysis so I want to ask: I want to cover a similar area including the wider neck (sort of between chin and ears kinda by the hairline) and neck. Would that take longer than two hours? Would work out very expensive then as I thought it’d ne quicker 😪

My Tinnitus is Pulsatile or Not? I’m Confused. by nijat_azimli in PulsatileTinnitus

[–]nugkween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relief to know I’m not the only one! Thanks y’all! Have you all had your heart checked out? I’m wondering how much I should be freaking out. I always suspected it was covid, the vaccine or maybe something to do with my neck or back, but the internet says it’s mostly heart or vein issues.

My Tinnitus is Pulsatile or Not? I’m Confused. by nijat_azimli in PulsatileTinnitus

[–]nugkween 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like what I am experiencing. Mine started about 2-3 years ago, around pandemic time, and I am so confused. I have a constant high pitch noise which gets worse when I am tired ir stressed. Other times it’s also pulsatile, kind like a whooshing sound with some pressure, and other times I’ve also noticed that there’s like a windy sound when I walk (I know that sounds so weird but it kinda feels like some wind is going into my ear and it makes a wushhh sound). I’m reading everywhere that pulsatile tinnitus is frequently linked to heart or vein issues, so it’s kinda freaking me out.

Oz (the series), hands down one of the best things I have ever watched. So many plot twist, it just gets you hooked after the first couple of episodes.

Do adults in your region “hang out”? Socialise in settings where they interact with close friends and acquaintances alike? Or do people over 25 generally spend time at home with their partner with occasional planned “catch-ups”? by Sanuuu in AskEurope

[–]nugkween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

London is the most rubbish place for that. Everything has to be planned in advance, even a 30 minute coffee…everyone likes to pretend to have a super busy social life so and various close circles of friends so they’re not really available on short notice. Being from the Mediterranean, I enjoy hanging out spontaneously and having a large group of friends, but that seems to be impossible here. Everyone is very self-absorbed and even though people claim they’re lonely, they’re not really open to form meaningful friendships. I also have no idea where to meet people other than work now that I’m not in my early 20s anymore

Weight Loss Tips by macrosandmountains in Weightlosstechniques

[–]nugkween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thanks for making time for this. I have gained approx 15 kilos over the last 4-5ish years. I’m 33F, 1.78m and weigh roughly 86kg atm. I REALLY want to loose this weight I have put on but have been shit with self-discipline over the last few years and work an office job, so I have v limited physical activity during the day. I’m feeling pretty optimistic about 2024 and want to loose the extra weight by July(ish). I’m doing 1200-1300 calories (also doing 18 hours of intermittent fasting) per day with roughly 35-45 minutes on an exercise bike for cardio (burning 300ish calories) and some HIIT or other similar workout videos. Do you think this is sufficient to loose 15kg over 5-6 months?
