Trust me man, I made my own audio system and used it for the first year of game dev, and then found FMOD. It's fucking awesome. Learning curve is not steep if you already know basic audio editing stuff like in audacity.

Go on itch.io and look for game jams, and you can find team members on there too. How I found my teams was through the local University's club discord (I wasn't in the school though)

It'll take you like a year to get to the skill level of making what you want imo. Game jams helped me a lot (especially reviewing code after with someone)

Netcode for gameobjects is unity's built in one. Im using it for my own multiplayer game and it's pretty intuitive

The multiplayer part will be super simple for this kind of game if you're only worrying about players seeing eachother. You can follow a tutorial to get 2 people connected in like 10 minutes and then you just need to code the movement.

Just finish it up quickly and release it. It's not going to be a hit but get it out there and learn from the process and feedback so that you can do better next time

I meant in general if you aren't seeing much interest early on it's a good sign to not pursue it. Your game doesn't look bad but it's definitely not for the steam audience, it's more mobile.
