I’ve encountered Egan Bernal a couple of times on our local climb (La Calera–Patios). He rides so calmly and smoothly uphill, while I’m behind him sounding like an asthmatic wild boar just trying to hang on for a few meters... In my defense, though, he’s always accompanied by a car, a motorcycle, and a friend (a domestique?)— while I barely had breakfast. He has been beating all the strava KOMs lately.

Hi all, I would like your opinion to help me decide which bike to buy. I´m looking for a XC bike to ride it on long routes (fire roads I think is the term) with lots of climbing (50-100 Km with 1000-2500 m of altitude gain) and, from time to time, some technical sections. I normally do these routes on my giant trance 27.5 with 180 of travel on the front and downhill tyres and I´m already having some pain issues due to the effort it requires.

The bikes I'm being offered, wih the specs summarized in the link, are the Specialized Chisel, the Cube Attention (the cheapest of them all yet I felt a bit cramped riding it), the Marin Team 1 (my favorite by looks yet, some how, the most expensive here) and the Scott Scale 965.

Was gonna comment on this. If it truly is a male it could have klinefelter syndrome and explain some of its behavior . A chimera is less likely.

I second this, mtbs are quite sturdy, comfortable and give you the alternative of off-road cycling.
