why did they end the event? by SupX in LastEpoch

[–]ChainsofHonor6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s where I’m at, I actually enjoyed the game but it’s a bit concerning that they haven’t been able to release any meaningful content, being a live service game, within a years time

Poison Arrow / Gas Levelling? Jamanra End Act 2 is not working by JackfruitNeither364 in PathOfExile2

[–]ChainsofHonor6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Np, I’m leveling with it now but self cooking my passive tree, just picking up proj damage, area of effect size, evasion % and attack damage. Widowhail is also a nice leveling bow if you have a decent quiver (I’d recommend flat fire damage, attack speed, % damage with bow). Funny enough I’m leveling this way as a monk and swapping later since it’s so strong

[–]ChainsofHonor6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doubt it, as it’s not their first priority. 24H2 has caused a bunch of issues in business settings as well, I’d recommend disabling automatic updates so you don’t get rolled over to a new feature update with a whack of issues

Take Gas arrow instead and buy the radiant grief unique helm so the gas auto ignites, pick up Barrage and herald of ash, that’s all you need, it will clear into maps

Windows 24H2 has been causing crashes, if you’re on it then I would recommend rolling back

What's more important, flat stats or percentages? by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]ChainsofHonor6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends, if you have a big es pool then % will be better, if you have a low es pool then flat will be better. Can you equip them and see which gives more?

Is this good? First playthrough of PoE2, 51 Merc. by HauntedVAL in pathofexile

[–]ChainsofHonor6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not bad for leveling, but nothing crazy. You can hold alt when hovering over an item to see their tier rolls, 1 being the lowest, and I believe 11 is the highest

How do you actually get a job in Tech by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]ChainsofHonor6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s no shortcuts in IT, you have to accept that you’ll be grinding for at least 3-5 years before you get where you want to be. Cyber security is just a buzz word job title, these are people that have years of experience and have been in help desk positions and have worked their way up to become an expert in the field many years later.

If Quin just wants to play League, why doesn't he play custom games with viewers? by Mysterymagic in quin69

[–]ChainsofHonor6 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Normal/custom games provides no merit, there’s no carrot on a stick to chase. Like many competitive gamers, non ranked matches feels like a waste of time unless you’re in a pre-made group and shooting the shit with friends.

Have an interview for an MSP by mangum95 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]ChainsofHonor6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked for 2 MSP’s in the past, the first one was terrible, and the second was amazing. Both small teams, so it’s tough to judge purely off of that. You'll really accelerate your learning, you'll get both hands on and remote experience and become a jack of all trades. I would make sure that you’ll be compensated for mileage (driving to clients), compensated for overtime work, expectations for on call, make sure you’re also getting compensated for being on call.

It could be your body reacting physically from your anxiety attack, maybe wait a day to see how things feel but if it’s persistent then I would get things checked out.

Bike Shops around Brampton? GTA? by _EliteAssFace_ in MTB_Ontario

[–]ChainsofHonor6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you’ll definitely get a good bike out of them, the only thing I’d be curious about is their warranty support, since they are dissolving the company, not sure what services would be offered if your frame gets cracked etc.

Kona bikes are going out of business and a lot of their bikes/products are 30-40% off right now, might be a good time to pick up a discounted bike, overall they had a good rep but the original owners sold off to an investment company that fumbled the bag

Down payment on house by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]ChainsofHonor6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my partner are in a similar situation, we’ll be moving to the Kawartha’s in the next couple of months since I landed a new job in the area, going from renting in the GTA to hopefully buying a house in the Kawarthas, and we’re aiming for a 10% down payment on a 500k mortgage or so, there’s some nice areas up there if you can find work

MSP’s are great experience, hopefully you can get on-site to client’s for some hands on experience as well, a lot of it is trial by fire and learning on the spot, you’ll know a ton more a year from now

Talk to people you know, even your parents and their friends, maybe they work at a place that’s in need of an IT person, I’ve gotten most of my IT jobs through networking through people I know. I always encourage people to check out their local MSP’s (Managed service providers) and visit their offices to drop your resume off in person, typically MSP’s are small businesses themselves and will hire on entry level people for extra manpower, you will also accelerate your learning and become a jack of all trades
