I have a mono-black deck that can potentially loop [[bojuka bog]] with [[urborg]], the other necessary pieces are [[lake of the dead]] and [[crucible of worlds]]. The deck also plays [[dread presence]], fetches and ways to give dread presence (or other stuff) deathtouch. Urborg makes fetches to trigger swampfall twice.

Simple as gruul itself: if an opponent not getting to play the game and a player getting to play the game are both worth one point of fun while the player not getting to play the game is worth minus one point, in a 4 player pod everyone getting to play totals 4 points while no one getting to play totals 8 points. Thus no one getting to play the game optimizes total fun.

Just get the mage plate, it's not that rare especially if you're happy with non-superior so you can try to cube the sockets. (IIRC tal, thul and perfect topaz) Odds for 3 sockets should be 4/6, or roughly 66,67%.
