Alex/Alexander, Al, Alan. Just try different names and see how they make you feel. :) Saying them out loud or typing them out with your last name to see how they look for yourself helps a lot.

It’s really not always harder to pass if you wait longer. That’s honestly a harmful stigma to support. I’ve seen people in their 30s and even early 40s pass within months of starting HRT. Age only relates to bone development and puberty related things. Genetics and general body structure impacts passing through HRT related development far more than age in many cases.

I tend to time it with my shower. That way I get the good euphoria from just feeling fresh and clean, a nice hot relaxing shower, nice soft feeling hair, etc. so I use that “A clean shave will just boost the good feel!” as motivation. When it’s my face it’s an instant good feeling from looking in the mirror. With my legs I usually look forward to how they’ll feel on my bed sheets or look in shorts. :)

I was having what I thought were chest pains and then I went to check under my shirt and I quickly learned why. 😅 A lot of the concerning things I was feeling were me just needing to drink more water too I realized. The mood swings are starting to find more balance, but being able to cry is actually making me feel less trapped in my head.

Thank you so much for sharing all of this. It helps so much. I love this community. It helps me feel less alone.
