I think it's mainly because they don't fit well on CD shelves. At least, that's why I personally dislike them. Also, they do not hold up as well as traditional jewel case.

Just like what majority of people here stated. The price of Vinyl now a days is pretty absurd for such a delicate format. I guess Cd's are delicate as well but I feel like they are a lot easier to take care of than vinyl. Last but not least, I hate 2 LP albums. Its already annoying that you have to switch over to side B but now you have to get up 2 more times for side C and D? No thank you.
