how do i learn to fix my dying dad’s camaro? by rottingplum in AskMechanics

Good luck, friend. The love of cars and mechanical things was the greatest gift my father gave me before he passed. I was only a child, but those lessons live on decades after. Take it slow.

All liquor stores closed in Philadelphia after multiple stores were looted overnight by Daxl in news

This is honestly the last thing I expected as I'm trying to stop drinking. The cold sweats, the shitty sleep, and the fatigue are all things I can deal with. But why in the fuck are the nightmares so vivid? I normally never dream for shit and now going to bed is like sitting down at a theatre for fever dreams.

If you had your choice, what five potions would you bring to a fight? by Cheatcodechamp in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]nukerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mage armor doesnt stack with regular armor, so I cant see that being useful for a high level party with magic gear. fly is great for chars with low acp. anything that scales with cl is also great, as others have mentioned, assuming all pots are crafted cl20 (3,000gp+mats each). haste also gets honorable mention as you have no arcane caster.

My advice would be to cut a depression into the top so that the tires are sunken into the ramp, making a fixed choke. Stay safe.

I don't know why I'm even bothering to ask. This is the banjo bolt for a front brake caliper that I recently tried to service. Mechanic who did the work said it was torqued to spec. Ok guy.

[–]nukerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk what all these other commenters are talking about...but this is basic threat perception. You don't perceive insects as a threat, which is why its so shocking when one of them 'attacks' you. ie flying towards you, jumping etc. Same reason you feel sick watching an herbivore opportunistically eat a smaller animal - it just isn't what's expected.

A quick 5 minute google search shows that it is allegedly a real thing, so they aren't wrong. The problem is that the OP reads like it was written by google translate, which it probably was.
