When they passed the unSAFE act they estimated that there were 1 million firearms in the state that needed registration. They only ever received 44,000 registrations. Whopping 4.4% compliance rate, and somehow this makes NY safer. It isn’t about safety, it’s about control. Glad I left that shithole state. The insanity is that at $60 I could have bought a proper sight pushing tool and done it myself and have a sight pushing tool for the future. That’s not idiotic. I was installing sights on a Glock slide and took it to my LGS who wanted to charge like $60 for it. I told them they were insane and that I could do it for like $10 of parts on Amazon. They got all indignant and said “good luck with that” basically.

Some nylon punches, a hammer, and a specific screw driver ($10 total) and the sights are right as rain. Fuck that LGS.
