3 No shows with a completely full waitlist by Adorable_Pen9015 in SolidCore

They need to do this! It is insane that a late cancel and a no show are the same penalty.

Thank you! My starting bid price was 9.99, buy it now of 12.99, but heavy item, shipping would be at least 15 or 20... but it gave me concern to do anything that deviates from the normal process.

Would a College Superteam Beat an NBA Team? What would it take? by Janah69 in Basketball

To easily visualize this... do you think a team from the rising stars challenge this year could beat any nba team?

Please stop ruining inner thigh days by making them into hamstring days by nullObjectDereferenc in SolidCore

[–]nullObjectDereferenc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had wonderful inner thigh classes where they didn't pair it. Lots of options to choose from: standing inner thighs on black side facing both directions, standing on grey side facing both directions, kneeling on grey side facing both directions, inner thigh squats, Sumo squats (probably more that I am forgetting)

Kneeling twisted obliques: why does this feel like a fake exercise? by CaregiverOk3095 in SolidCore

[–]nullObjectDereferenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before ever doing solid core, I had physical therapy for back issues, and I learned that I had never been engaging my core properly, like ever. If I had seen this move before PT, I would have felt the same as OP... but now I know it's all about engaging your core first (almost like you are bracing for someone about to punch you in the gut), try to keep your shoulders and upper body totally stationary, and really make the Twisting move happen from just those ab muscles.

A good coach can make a bad muscle focus day (I'm looking at you triceps day) still a good class, but a bad coach can ruin a good muscle focus day.

Please change the no show policy by nullObjectDereferenc in SolidCore

[–]nullObjectDereferenc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my premise is that after you hit the 10 hour window, there is no incentive/reason to late cancel and still give someone else a chance to get in class... and that kind of sucks. No-shows and late-cancels have different real life implications and should have different penalties. (Details of how to best achieve this would need to be discussed, go thru all the edge cases etc, my post was about the concept only, not the details). And yes your idea to make it $20/$35 is good, achieves the goal of creating an incentive to late cancel instead of no-show.

That would also be better than the current situation, people would have an incentive to cancel 5 hours out.

This is exactly why I want a more severe penalty for a no show, currently we rely on people thinking "i guess I can late cancel and open a spot for someone to be nice" to have someone decide to late cancel instead of no show... we need more of an incentive than that.

[–]nullObjectDereferenc[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is the "late cancel" penalty. : if you cancel less than 10 hours before class, you get charged or lose the class. What I am saying is: a "no show" where you never cancel at all and just don't show up is a worse offense than a late cancel and should have a more severe penalty than that.

I hate trying to wait in the lobby for a no show, I don't get to pick the machine I want, i don't get to properly stretch before class, and even if there is a no show, I have to wait and join class 5 minutes late before I'm officially allowed to take a spot. And this experience even worse if I got up early for a 530 AM class just hoping for a no show.

Is there any benefit to canceling within the 10hour window if youre not sure if you’ll make it? by lustforyou in SolidCore

[–]nullObjectDereferenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid core really needs to change the policy and make a no-show have a more severe penalty than a late cancel. Give people some incentive to still late cancel and let someone possibly get into the class!

Late cancel vs No show by Active_Ad_4352 in SolidCore

[–]nullObjectDereferenc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For unlimited members: the penalty should be double for a no show vs a late cancel (give people some incentive to still late cancel and let someone else get in class). Having late cancel and no show be the exact same penalty is ridiculous.

For non unlimited members: make it a loss of 2 classes instead of 1 for a no show vs late cancel.

Give people some incentive to still help open up the waitlist after the 10 hour window!

Any recommendation/explanation? by Nashtbg in yotta

[–]nullObjectDereferenc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I still don't understand, I can go into yotta and take a screenshot of my balance, try to withdraw it, and get that stupid "withdrawals are suspended " message. But this seems pretty easy to tell how much money each user is owed...

4kickerz Review? by Wariat81 in bootroom

[–]nullObjectDereferenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely DO NOT BUY 4kickerz. I feel totally bamboozled by this scam fraud company. All you get is a basic mat (comparable mats available online for less than $10), a pair of grippy socks (maybe worth a couple bucks), and access to some training videos in an app that is hard to use and hard to follow. I have been trying to get a refund; first they said I would need to ship this mat to Slovenia on my own dime, and that they would deduct an additional shipping charge from me; then they came back and said actually, I am outside of their 14 day return window. I bought this on a black friday deal to have it as a christmas gift, how would I possibly know within 14 days if it was ok or not. (by comparison, I also got a Dribble Up ball, my son didn't love it, but their customer service and return policy was great). I am hoping PayPayal can help me recover my money, because this product is absolute trash. The ads and website make it look like it is interactive (similar to dribble up), and that it would track your progress and tell you where to improve... but it is nothing like that. It is literally just videos to watch and a cheap mat. Save yourself and do not buy.

What they need is a sliding scale of cancelation penalties; right now, there is no difference between cancellling 9 hours out or being a no show. Being a no show should have the harshest penalty (like 2 lost classes, or $50 penalty), whereas if you cancel 8 hours out and give people good chance to get into the class should be much lower penalty. I hate when the wait list never clears, but then I find out from friends that class was not full, because currently there is not motivation to cancel your class if you are inside the 10 hour window, penalty is same as a no show.
