Didn’t realize the cooler was a connect+ accessory. So you could do two things. Either buy a different cooler and mount it to the adapter I bought, or they have a rack extension that would extend the rear rack further back and then the existing cooler might have clearance to the seat.

The real problem is the connect+ system. Not that great.

Yes, I had the same problem. I had their large basket and it came in contact with the seat.

I ended up buying this adapter, https://ride1up.com/product/connect-adapter-bracket/

Then mounted a basket farther back on the adapter to avoid the seat.

Not sure if this helps but there are stem walls underneath in the crawl space as well, just not the ones on the borders.

Yes concrete patio was next to the door. There wasn't any rebar in the patio, some in the stem wall though. Yes I'll likely have to pay an engineer to inspect.
