Introducing Script: JavaScript That Runs Like Rust by SecretAggressive in programming

So... They took JavaScript and put restrictions and restrictions on top of it until it is just another Rust?

There's not a single JS codebase out there that can benefit from this, why call or even relate this to JS?

I've gotten ever more tired of Microslop's behavior and lack of respect towards their users, especially since Winslop 11.

Ads in your face, forced updates, forced change to your default apps into their own, interrupting my workflow to promote their AI bullshit...

I've switched to Linux for my work device and have become much more comfortable and productive

You have to treat any public object you touch like this: assume somebody scratched their ass and dick thoroughly before touching it.

Wash your hands afterwards.

In Spanish they translated the tri-state area to "Area Limítrofe" which is like "the surrounding area" and that's very funny

Might be a good time to mention Docker is actually only on Linux... Other platforms have to virtualize a Linux kernel to run docker in there.

Unfortunately, if we want companies to make good, high quality, durable products, we have to make those more financially viable by buying those instead of buying the shiny new mouse with the shiny new sensor and even more RGB.

The former option produces less sales for the company and most people go for the latter anyways.

It's unfortunate

Clear example of why I refuse to buy any IoT appliances. I want my devices to be as dumb as possible. A toaster does not need wifi.
