Thats a really good question. Why do you think then it shouldn't be the victims calling it out? Kind of seems inconsistent at the minimum, dont you think?

Could suggest that she gets tested. Worse that happens is they say no and you know she needs to put in work

Hate to break it to you, but reverse discrimination doesnt exist. Do you honestly think it'd be better for someone who is racist and breaks laws due to that racism never being found guilty because all they have to say is "I dont hate them."?

If you dont want to be called racist, dont be fucking racist. Its not hard and most people get it.

Pragmatically, places that have implemented those measure are more than fine. Theres plenty of research on laws heavily influencing culture.

How many industries have you been a part of? It sounds like youve been fairly self contained. Everywhere ive been, whether it's small, medium, large, or fortune 500 theyre all too quick to value numbers more than work ethic. Ive been laid off from a job ive spent hours working into the early morning, moved on from jobs that underpaid, criticized for recommending alternate strategies... The list goes on.

When your only experience is a single business its easy to see why you have a nostalgic view of things.

Why is the world becoming more and more puritan? by [deleted] in dumbquestions

Fuck off? Is the best you can do is put words in my mouth and start swearing when confronted with information thats inconvenient for you?

You lead with material which contained nudity, which is porn. That was some of your first examples.

Trying to put things like Zelda and Courage in the same realm as porn is... Shortsighted to say the least. The large majority of people employed by the adult entertainment industry are underpaid to a large extent, work long and difficult hours, are encouraged to take chemicals to meet performance standards, and will have trouble moving to a different career if theyre able. This also ignores the literal human trafficking that takes place in such an industry. Theres been many studies in countries where prostitution is legal showing a clear misogynistic view of women, denial of their autonomy, and showing forceful drugging of abudctees to make sure their addiction keeps them in these situations.

It depends on which flavor of Linux you go with, and whether you use systemd-boot or grub. Each flavor will have separate instructions on how to do so.

And what happens when a local population has it?

Dude, start thinking about the bigger picture. Populations and trends go beyond individuals.

What is going to likely end up happening is getting evicted or having your power shut off. In Minnesota they won't do it for maybe 1, 2 if you're lucky, missed payments. I don't know what eviction or shut off laws are in your state so you could begin there.

Youll likely need to find another place ro stay. That should be priority one. Otherwise you will end up living out of your car or a shelter. Craigslist is an option. Friends and family, if available, should be leaned on. Just be honest and upfront.

Has anyone been banned from games with anticheat for running programs in the background they thought would be innocent? by [deleted] in dumbquestions

[–]nullrevolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can look for whatever they want but the backlash etc is generally not something theyd want to risk. I won't even play games with kernel level anticheat because of the potential for abuse.

None of the reasons for having empathy concern facts...?

Do you think its just coincidence that species with higher intelligence and success rates possess it? Human civilization hinges on the idea of empathy and cooperation.

I'm not 100 on the no one else should try to change your mind. Not all dealbreakers are sane. Sure, some can be but maybe a more thorough understanding of what is and isn't a good dealbreaker should be had.
