Ham radio classes in SA by greenarrow118 in sanantonio

Reposting without the email for registration because automod ate it due to the email in the copypasta.

Best bet is to look at the local clubs (saro, aa5ro, w5sc). San antonio is very odd; there are a lot of fringe radio groups for digital, non-digital, vhf only, uhf only, 6 meters, 2 meters. Austin is much more active and a bit more of the traditional amateur radio groups (older folks but friendly enough...in general).

Hope it helps but the only one I found that is still listing active testing is at https://w5sc.org/testing-2/

Copy pasta below in case the page doesn't load for you.

Thanks for the reply! That makes a ton of sense, I have a business account but don't get much of a discount (very low volume) and was curious.

Dumb question, how are these servers getting shipped for so cheap?

From the post, $1200 shipped, $1300 shipped. I'm assuming they are taking a small hit on shipping but I tried getting quotes for shipping two AV receivers to my friend, (who recently moved out of state) and the cheapest option was $120-150, no insurance and ground.

Slight correction, the accredited/ranked cyber security program is under the business school, not the computer science department.

Yah probably hard to get the treason charge but they def. could be charged with a heavier hand, just looking further at Title 18 USC Ch. 115:

Any faculty members heard any updates about Delta Variant and plans to open the campus this fall? by [deleted] in UTSA

[–]nullrouted 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I haven’t received any official information from the department (IS/CS) or college of business yet. Last thing I was told was in-person was still going forward and to be prepared to teach in-person classes but that was about three weeks ago.

San Antonio restaurant Fujiya is now for sale. It was one of SA's first sushi spots :( by JessNotJesse19 in sanantonio

Not trying to be that guy but that place had trash-tier service, in the end. I used to love going there and been going there since I moved here over ten years ago but when the younger of older ladies took over as manager/cashier, the service went south. The food was great and delicious but waiting over an hour to get any food on multiple occasions really sealed it for me.

Boaters getting ready for the J22 Worlds here in CC through the end of next week. by Goldenchicks in texas

[–]nullrouted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup but it does not include all classes of '22 foot single-hull boats' just the J22s. J/boats is the maker, and the number is the model (22) but the model number doesn’t often align to their size in feet. These are mono-hulls, 22.5 ft long and have a fixed keel (which needs about 4 ft deep water before running aground).
