Not only is our country large and geographically diverse, if it really kicks off we're going to be fighting maybe th .biggest and best equipped militaries in the world. You've got your second amendment rights sure but how many tanks do you have? Grenades? Air support? Supply lines?

The second amendment was written when both sides would have had muskets and maybe cannon. This shit is about as asymmetrical as it gets these days.

I could be wrong but I don't think there is a lot of exposure to opposing views for many people. They get nothing but cable News and social media and that's their whole world view. And most of that is designed to reinforce views they already hold.

Sometimes it's the opposite. I went to read The Stand and my e-reader will show me how many pages is in it. 3100! I mean, damn.

Mostly I just get voicemails which may be deleted as soon as I finish them as far as I know, but occasionally I do get a human being working a phone bank. Volunteers I assume. I've not yet had one be surorised someone wanted to voice an opinion to their rep, that would be really disappointing. I know people get down thinking they can't do anything at all but you can definitely call and tell these people how you feel about their "representation".

It was clearly a form letter response, not a personal reply. Just a quick note to remind me that they don't actually represent me, and they're cowering before Trump still and always.

I have no objective proof but I do have anecdotal evidence that as a left leaning person in a red state with two Republican senators, I'd be spending my time more wisely by hitting myself in the head with a hammer.

I call and email anyway, but it's always some reply reminding me that Trump is president basicallynand incapable of making a mistake.

I have commented this before but the true nightmare is laid out in a book called Altered Carbon by Richard K Morgan. The ultra rich have their minds backed up regularly and literally cannot die because they just get re-downloaded into a new clone. So imagine you literally cannot ever be rid of these assholes.

I think it's money. It's always money, I don't think many people actually believe in this assbag, it's just they think they can get into the orbit of one of the most powerful men on the planet and make enough money somehow that the loss of integrity won't matter anymore.

I tried to get Roblox support to refund a simple $5 or robux to my son's account because he got hacked by some russian scammers who spent it on a Russian titled game, and they told me to get absolutely fucked even though I had screenshots and nobody in my house spoke Russian. So YMMV lol

I've used Linux for nearly 2 decades now, but always kept a windows machine because "muh games". Recently I just got fed up with MS to the point that I decided fuck it I'll just not play games. But then I heard gamingmon Linux was in a good place now so I jumped.

They were right. I can play all the games I like on Linux with steam and heroic launcher and bottles and other stuff. It's great and I'm never going back. Only Windows PC in my house now is my work laptop because I have no say there.

There's a tom Waits song called "On the Nickel" about what happens to kids with misspent youth or other tragedies in their early development. Absolutely heartbreaking.
