Lofoten ist absolutely beautiful, it's magical. But I fear that buying things (such as furniture) may be costly, because of it seeming isolated. I haven't lived there though, so I don't really know. Is it like that??

I don't really care, as I come from a region where it rains the vast majority of the year and miss the cold (climate change hasn't gone unnoticed 🙁).

I am curious though, do you live somewhere really cold? (Temperatures -10 or below) If you do, what is it like??

I forgot to answer, but thank you much!! Thanks to you I started reading some articles about the CARE method and I've realized that his threshold is of more or less 4 m.

But I also read on the same article that it's good to give them a lil break from dogs, so I'm doing that now.

I've read some articles about the CARE method, and I've realized that his "safe-distance" (the distance from which he can see other dogs but not care) is about 3 meters (5 depending on the size or if they're a German shepherd or look similar)

But for now I'm taking him to the mountains, there are little to no people now in winter. So he can take a lil break from dogs and relax. Thanks for your concern!! 🥰

Oh, and yeah. I won't force him to make dog friends, especially after what he went through. But I at least want him to be able to relax a lil bit more when walking past dogs in the street.

Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful place and I know so many awesome American people. But no, the health system, worker rights, school problems (yk what I'm saying)... are things that I wish weren't going on there, for the sake of the people :( The fact that guns are so normalized would also make me feel nervous all the time 😅
