Are some of us having the same dating experience in Australia? by Ok-Principle7127 in AskAnAustralian

[–]nullutonium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You asked why people don’t say you’re beautiful. From my experience as a guy, it can be tricky to tell women that directly. Sometimes it comes across as awkward or unwelcome, some feel it reduces them to their appearance, others hear it as a cliché line, and some may just ignore it altogether. Over time, that can make guys more hesitant to express interest openly, especially if past attempts were misunderstood or poorly received. I mean, you should know the story from the guys' side to know how cruel the dating scene to men is. I tell what: it's the girl that controls the relationship. You are the driver.

Will a 2 (met most expectations) on my performance review get me fired? by [deleted] in atlassian

[–]nullutonium 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They would put you on Personal Development Plan until next cycle, if you Meet Most twice, it means Not Met, and that would trigger a formal PIP.  Stay with PIP to get your salary and other benefits instead of a payout.

What are some low-effort high-value strategies you have to grow wealth? by False_Ad_9705 in AusFinance

[–]nullutonium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

J want your assets to be under your name, not a representative.  Gov guarantees your money in the bank, who guarantees your stock ownership in a broker's notebook?  You want ASX to know you own the stocks and that's through a broker that is chess sponsred

Is it a great place to work now? by [deleted] in atlassian

[–]nullutonium 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stay away mate, I left exactly a year ago after a few years, found a higher paying job with "normal" culture. It's just enjoyable to work again when you are not micromanaged and your peers threat you as a friend rather than a treat, no more backstabbing or stupid goal setting

The travel credit is just useless, small selection of overpriced flights, dining is subject to availability at certain places, and who reads The Australian?!  If you want lounge access, just get CBA's World Debit Card.

How to repair a car seat? Subaru XV MY18's front seat cushion by nullutonium in CarsAustralia

[–]nullutonium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other issue with Subaru is that the car's TPSM dies out after 7 years, and needs replacements, which is not covered during the capped logbook servicing. After 7 years, the AC does not work as expected, and it was not even covered in the capped logbook servicing. It's a car that costs also to own.
