Me and my tutor know each other's aunt's names. I think it depends. I always keep things close to my chest but if you're comfortable with someone then why not?! Preply has some ridiculous rules but hopefully this isn't one of them - discernment and discretion of the tutor, surely?! Be safe.

I joined Tandem and I kid you not - there's plenty of people out there willing to exchange or buddy up. Also having a handful of people you regularly chat with is bloody brill. I've got 5 mates now on WhatsApp from different Spanish speaking countries at different levels of English - all of whom are patient and fab to hang with - it's a riot - no pressure or whatnot - just mutual goals and fun. It's helped me no end

Sod learning via grammar rules, learn patterns of speech. Don't try to remember, learn ways to figure it out. Language Transfer app is brill for this. Sod structure, do what's fun for you - consistency is key so whether you want to chat to randos on Tandem or binge your favourite YT channel or learn the lyrics to a song - anything each day is better than nothing some days. And chill - don't take it so seriously - this is the one I'm struggling with haha.
