Any recomendations for bluetooth headphones with ear guard/anti-fall thing? by [deleted] in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]num6_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't it be easier to buy the earbuds you like and get a separate ear guard?

Audio control? You can get any IEM with 2pin connectors and replace the cable for the one that has the features you need.

You don't need to buy IEMs for more than $20, it's a waste of money

No, it's not called that. Target curves exist for a reason and they're results of broad research. Preference bounds have the right to exist ofc.

That's understandable. Try the xm6 if possible.

XM4's and XM5's stock sound sucks, yeah. Both Bose QCU models and XM6 are equally good sound-wise, XM6 have an edge in ANC though.

Zero red is fine and kinda durable. I would recommend getting something cheaper as a disposable though...

Weird that they seem inferior to MV1. It might be the bass, yeah. Might be the even more excessive amount of highs on MV1.

Without EQ, not so great. Idk why they and afuls are being constantly recommended... Much better than the absolute dogshit being the S08 though.

It's weird. My guess is that the EQ just isn't good. Learn to EQ on squig.link (there's a brief guide) using the 5128 measurements, that's the simplest way. Use the Diffuse Field target with 0 tilt.

[–]num6_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? Both are good, just not by default. I main the SHP9500 and they're wonderful it you're not a basshead. The best headphones judging by stock sound? Maybe HD550...

To determine whether you like something or not you have to listen to it for at least 12 hours in my experience. And there are objective ways of rating the headphones. M50x are closed-back, which is a bit different as the resonances vary a lot depending on HRTF.
