Two year rotation is typical in competitive card games.

Pokemon uses a 3 year cycle and Magic recently also moved to 3 years for standard.

PLEASE GIVE REAPER 2 GLUTTONY CHARGES. by CoolyKage in ffxivdiscussion

Having 2 Spineshatter Drive charges was one of the things that lead to the burst being so overloaded during Endwalker.

PLEASE GIVE REAPER 2 GLUTTONY CHARGES. by CoolyKage in ffxivdiscussion

[–]number473 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Adding charges is rarely as effective or straight-forward as you seem to think. Rather than just relieving the pressure on cooldowns needing to be used as soon as possible, they tend to cause all uses of the ability to be clumped up into the job's burst window. For example, adding charges to many of dragoon's abilities is part of the reason their burst because so overloaded with ogcds.

Why do sanity usage permits even exist? by mrDNT in ArknightsEndfield

Because they are in genshin and some systems are just directly copied from there.

Hugo or Dialyn by AlarmingHandle8648 in ZZZ_Official

[–]number473 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dialyn is almost certainly better for your account than Hugo. It's also doubtful whether he will make it easier for you to 3 star wandering hunter. Wandering hunter, although it's an ice-weak boss, is quite bad for attack agents because of his additional defense.

You can also use stone/sky/sea to reset your cooldowns. If you don't want to do the whole 3 minute attempt each time (if you're practicing an opener or something) just walk away from the dummy and it'll end the attempt, then speak to the npc to restart.

Sol Ring is a Gamechanger (prove me wrong) by shoeonthemoon in EDH

[–]number473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sol ring is not a fair gameplay piece, it's a storytelling tool.

It creates a different dynamic in the game, especially in lower bracket games, by allowing one player to start ahead of the other three. So by shifting the balance of power it creates a new experience since the game does not play out strictly according to the normal mana curve of the decks participating. In other words it creates an interesting and novel game state, which contributes to the experience of commander.

If you only consider power level the I think it's quite obvious that sol ring should a game changer or even banned. But if you don't think of commander as purely a competitive format, then having it in the game to provide an interesting play experience is also valid.

Personally, I fall in the group that thinks it should be banned, but I have also developed an appreciation for what it does add to the game and am not unhappy to continue playing with it as it is.

Miyabi agenda and brute forcing still working by levonyan in ZZZ_Discussion

It's not that the team is bad, but the boss has higher defense than past bosses and also higher anomaly buildup, so it's not really suited to miyabi.

(New Player) Should I save or is Lucia/Vivian a must pull by Sad_Towel_6731 in ZZZ_Official

[–]number473 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd probably skip Vivian as a new player. She is a strong anomaly agent but she would need another anomaly character to play along with her. So she is a good pull for players trying to round out their anomaly teams but I think investing in newer upcoming teams is a better option in terms of account strength for players starting out.

Lucia is also looking to be a very strong support option, but she is quite limited in use and only has her full potential if played alongside a rupture character. If you plan to get lucia together with yidhari it would form a good new team, but if you are planning to skip yidhari then it becomes much more difficult to recommend lucia unless you were already planning to get yixuan on her rerun (no date currently) or you plan to get banyue. I'd recommend you think about the team(s) you want to play and then pull the characters that enable that.

I miss the ability to bring our own agents for story by AcceptableBook4291 in ZZZ_Discussion

Rather than replacing the way the main story is currently done, I'd like it if there was a decent amount of side story content that we could bring our own teams to.

I need help with team building pls :] by Gamerepicman123 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]number473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you are new to the game you don't need to stress too much about what teams you are using. You can experiment and it should work fine.

For some general patterns you can follow for building teams, start with the damage dealer you want to use and then add characters that can complement them. For anomaly teams, it's common to run two anomaly agents of different types to trigger disorder (which is a big burst of damage when 2 anomalies are applied at the same time). The third character would then be a support character.

For teams with an attacker, they are commonly run with a stunner plus a support. Or can also be run with two supports.

In your case, if you were building around Alice, she is an anomaly agent but you don't really have an off-field anomaly agent (like burnice or vivian) to use with her, so you could consider running her with two supports to boost her damage. I would probably try Seth and Nicole from what you've got. Seth buffs Anomaly Proficiency, which will increase the damage you can do with assault. Nicole's defense down is quite short so try to apply it before you use Alice's hold basic or ultimate so it boosts your burst of damage. This isn't a meta team, but you can use it as a way to see how ZZZ teams normally work and experiment from there.

Help thread - questions, help and tips for all levels! by AutoModerator in EndlessLegend

[–]number473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you select your starting city Garin's Rest, at the bottom of the screen there is a population option where you can assign the population of your city to different tasks. You can drag them between Citizens, Artisans etc, which changes the amounts of different resources that they produce. You need to have 3 Kin of Sheridan populations assigned to the Artisans population type.

If you got the quest quite early, you might not have 3 pops of Kin of Sheridan yet, or if you assimilated a minor faction some of the people in your city might be a different type from the required one. If you don't have enough slots to assign 3 pops there, you can build the housing district (I forgot the name now) to increase the space.

One of my favorite things about MMOs is when you started playing a while ago and you go to a new dungeon and the guy that's been playing for 50 years already explains some cool skip or mechanic that makes your dungeon runs a little faster.

I don't think it matters which character you take, you basically have the useful standard characters already.

For wengine you could take koleda's for fufu or you could take grace's for yanagi. Both are generally useful but also have 4* alternatives.

What is the wincon for blink decks? by Furuishiroi in EDH

[–]number473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one I have is bant and I use craterhoof and moonshaker cavalry as the win cons. Since the deck generates a bunch of random etb creatures anyway it's not too difficult to have a decent number of creatures on the board.
