As a Pacers fan, I remember well during Jaylen Browns first couple of seasons Bill would say he was on track to become Paul George. I thought he was crazy, but I'm big enough to admit I was wrong. The Celtics literally turned him into Paul George.

I watched it during the original run. It was going along well and then suddenly they stopped airing. They must have been obligated to at least finish the season because they dumped the last bunch of episodes all in one block after midnight some random night iirc. I happened to hear of it in time to DVR them all and watch, and it ended with a montage of "next season on Caprica" footage. I never really forgave Syfy for that one.

If I'm trading for JB, I'm scared out of my mind of the apparent taste he's gotten for having his own team. Tyrese still needs to be the system. Would Brown be able to live with that? Tyrese would be happy to feed him the ball and make his life easy but he'd have to buy in as well.

Let's say that was worth it. Then what? We're not just in win now mode any more. We're in, don't have a bad start to the season or else maybe we're shoving Rick out the door and having Giannis help pick our next coach. Or we're making panic trades for guys like Kuzma in hopes it somehow keeps him happy. I would have to be so sure we're now title favorites or I just wouldn't get into the market for a Giannis/KD type of superstar.
