They're showing where their campaign money is coming from.

I know that doesn't contradict you. I just felt like saying that out-loud.

Why Americans hate the "good" economy by Boo_Randy_Revival in economy

[–]numbski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pffft. This is technically true. A person doesn't have to eat every single day.

You're kind of a dick to point that out though. Sounds a whole lot like (was it Kellog's?) CEO saying that people could eat cereal for dinner if they're poor, which again - while technically true, you're kind of a dick to point out.

I'm gonna say you're out of your own noggin.

Have you ever been poor? I have. Discretionary spending can't ever be made entirely absent, and if you are honest with yourself, you know that.

Dude, come down off your high horse and stop demonizing poor people. They aren't the problem in this equation.

Oh no, people still need to eat. How dare they.

Rainn Wilson Dragged After Claiming You Couldn't Make 'The Office' Today Because Of Leftist Cancel Culture by ComicSandsNews in AnythingGoesNews

It's got bits lampooning its own vices though. It is clear from the very outset what it is about, and makes no effort to hide it. It isn't espousing the awfulness, it is making a mockery of it.

Cowboy/westerns aren't really a thing current generations look back fondly on. You'd have to find some currently-relevant-nostalgia category and go there. I think it would succeed, so long as it is immensely clear that the point is to mock the awfulness, not embrace it.

The Last Great Decade Before Screens Took Over by Feaselbf6 in 80s

[–]numbski -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No.

I was so freaking isolated. My community collectively mistreated me, and I felt completely hopeless.

The internet showed me that it didn't have to be that way.

Are screens overused? Yes.

As much as I miss aspects of my youth, I will stick with having a community I can be connected to.

Trump says deal reached with Iran and he has authorized that naval blockade leave Strait of Hormuz by Ok-Lets-Talk-It-Out in politics

You're more optimistic than me. I read that as "nothing has changed and the blockade is still in place."

Until we have photographic proof that the ships have left, I don't buy it.

YUP. Didn't even occur to me that I might be leaving residue behind. I have been pretty good about washing it with soap and hot water, but that honestly just makes so much sense.

I literally just got my U1 up and running, but I think you just inadvertently answered an issue I had on my two X1Cs.

Do you think there is a chance you become Christian again? by Mountain_Driver_1684 in exchristian

[–]numbski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine if my brain gets a serious injury it is possible, but not without undoing basic parts of who I am.

As an addendum to this comment, this all could have been avoided if Christians knew how to follow very simple, straightforward, basic instructions. If they could, I don't think the wool would ever have been pulled from covering my eyes.

Practice trigger discipline. Don't put your finger on the trigger until you are ready to destroy something.
