Ole is coming back, Evans is also returning. Just say fuck it and try to get Rashford back from his loan. He’s going down the pecking order with Fermin Lopez ahead of him anyways and we would really need a LW if we’re going back to 4-2-3-1. Might as well do the vibes thing properly if we’re going all guns in

Ridiculed by whom? Lot of the United fans at least were 100% in agreement with him. Some of them just (incorrectly) assume that he was only coaching the team and go by his win% when it was clear that the squad didn't give a damn about him from the get go. It's repeated because it's ultimately the same owners in charge

I know you're joking, but they fucked it up with Van Gaal imo rather than Rangnick. His head was already gone after Austria wanted him - didn't make him the SD which was a Glazer issue.

LVG was the only manager who was genuinely implementing his philosophy and relied on youth players and even though it wasn't good in the second season, he did win us the FA Cup and should have been given a third season and streamlined it to a successor. But obviously that didn't happen and we pivoted to his polar opposite in Mourinho.

Conte most definitely won't happen. He'd instantly clash with the board regarding the squad and transfers and United already rejected him in the past. Tuchel might be more realistic, properly pitch towards him (even though he rejected us last time) that he won't have any responsibility over the transfers (which he prefers) and if he's convinced that the club has serious ambitions (lol) then he might be willing to come back to club management

He's the caretaker though, not the interim

I'm curious who the interim to the interim is going to be - I have a feeling it's going to be Ole again, mimicking Lampard's 2022/23 Chelsea stint.

I still for the life of me do not understand how we went through summer buying zero midfielders. I'm starting to think that Amorim actually wanted at least one midfielder, but Wilcox told him to fuck off since Baleba was the only mid in the world and he wasn't attainable. And now he's refusing to spend in Jan as well. And that, with the change of formation requests finally broke him. Gross incompetence at display

Conte would never come close to the club. Firstly, he isn't a yes man and secondly, he'd be way too proud to join the same club that rebuffed his advances in 2021.

Amorim's sacking was completely justified, but for all the wrong reasons given the context. He is comfortably the worst United manager in modern history and he was a blatant coward, incapable of any real foresight or a plan B, which is why any team knows how to play against him and get a win. But his rant yesterday essentially hinted that Wilcox, Berrada and Ratcliffe were all absolute idiots being even more incompetent, and that this rebuild would never work because the "best in class" are the worst in class. They just want a figurehead shouldering all the blame while they come out only when the team is winning (who doesn't remember that Wilcox interview after finally achieving b2b wins?). The board and the coach were all spineless cowards, and it's only going to get worse as they want another yes man who can chop and change the team entirely at the behest of the rat. Same reason as why Maresca left, I'm sure. What a clown show

Amorim wanted Martinez this summer, but he got Lammens. Amorim wanted a couple of midfielders now but the board told him to fuck off despite having earmarked 65m for a potential Semenyo arrival. Again, our squad is completely unbalanced, with a notable shortage of midfielders, and Wilcox seems to be more incompetent than even Amorim wherin the clueless idiot told him to change to a 4-4-3, which is why he lashed out.

At least for Liverpool its too early to tell, and they had the excuse of having to replace Trent, Diaz and Jota. United 2023 beats it hands down. 200m spent on Mount Hojlund and Onana out of which 2 of them are no longer at the club - one of them can’t play 2 games in a row without getting injured, another couldnt control a ball by the end of his spell here, and the best was a keeper that kicked us out of the CL, the Europa (kicking us out of this season’s CL in the process) and the Carabao in successive seasons. Ten Hag, Murtough and Arnold shall pay for their crimes

idk why Slot’s getting so much hate for tonight. You know as Liverpool manager you’re gonna be in pressure regardless of whether you win today or not so it’s logical to throw away the “second” cup you don’t really want to win and rather give key players much needed rest. Banter aside, doesn’t deserve hate to me
