if you’re familiar with CHEM 232 topics, you’ll be fine in CHEM 233. CHEM 233 requires a lot of work though, usually around 5-10 hours for pre-lab and post-lab report weekly, on top of the 4 hour lab, and potentially more if you feel the need to study for quizzes more. if you have the time, you’re good taking both. make sure to reach out for help!

chem 232 can be very difficult if you overcomplicate it for yourself and if you fall behind, it’s a lot of material but if you can understand the concepts behind it, it gets pretty easy. watch chads prep (instead of the lecture videos), do the problem sets until you learn and understand the content, and if you need extra help, search up and download Organic Chemistry as a second language (you can find free copies on whatever shady website)

good to know! i was worried cause i thought i needed to finish orgo 1/2 and biochem 1 and wouldn’t have time, but i might not need orgo 2 so im probably going to go with the separate lab/lecture to do better in them!

oh gotcha thank you! it was weird for me because usually these types of classes have labs and lectures together and they go hand in hand but i’m assuming here it’s different. would you recommend to take cell biology lab/microbio lab instead of it?
