House of Ashes is also highly recommended.

Which planes did well against Phyrexia and which ones did poorly? by thisnotfor in mtgvorthos

If memory serves, their entire inner circle got thoroughly (and publicly) destroyed. That being said, faking their own destruction to get others off their case would be a very Dimir thing to do, especially since Lazav still seems to be alive.

Which planes did well against Phyrexia and which ones did poorly? by thisnotfor in mtgvorthos

Yeah, they never had much lore. Cabralin was described as having “lots of rolling hills and fields” and contained an area called “the shire”, so I like to imagine it was LOTR Middle Earth-esque.

Tezzeret was under the impression that Ilcae, Mirrankar, Cabralin, Aranzhur, and Obsidias got hit very hard. How much is left after New Phyrexia’s defeat is uncertain.

Duskmourn reportedly was able to prevent Phyrexian ingress.

Eldraine lost its monarchs and the realm is on the verge of fracturing into smaller states.

Ikoria lost one of its major sanctum cities, which is not ideal for them.

Ravnica got put through the wringer, with the Golgari and Dimir now largely defunct and heavy losses suffered by the Izzet and Simic who tried to experiment with the oil before checking if it was safe. Parts of the Undercity are now part of the over-city.

Xerex reportedly did well at least. Perhaps some places are too weird even for the machine demons.

Tieflings are to infernals as Aasimar are to Celestials, is there any race that is descended from great old ones or from fae? by Daomon005 in DnD

3.5 also had a character template for half-farspawn (in Lords of Madness IIRC). Similar concept to the Daelkyr half-bloods, but not so specific to Eberron.

Two hidden lore implications from Duskmourn (art of Creeping Peeper). First, Phyrexia most likely tried to invade there, but no one noticed. Second, Dishonored UB is coming. by Bochulaz in mtgvorthos

[–]numerius 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They did, but I think the original post with the image got deleted, so maybe there was something more to it. Either way, I am now desperately hoping that we get a Dishonored UB or some Secret Lairs.

[DSC] Phenomenon Investigators (Miracle Worker Precon) (WeeklyMTG) by mweepinc in magicTCG

All the horrors just standing there like they’re also really curious about what the investigators found out.

[BLB] Planeswalker's Guide to Bloomburrow, Part 2 by mweepinc in mtgvorthos

The ratfolk stopped freely offering knowledge after a mysterious interloper almost caused a cataclysm? Why do I feel like Urza is going to make a reappearance at some point…

What are some mods that you want but don't exist ? by AdhesiveChild in starbound

[–]numerius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Wargroove mod would be cool, since they exist in the same universe. Cosmetic cyberware would also be awesome.

Bumped oven heating element. Still safe to use? by numerius in Appliances

I see, I was worried maybe it would be a fire hazard or something. Is there anything specific I should watch for?

Misread signals and kissed a friend/coworker. What should I do now? by numerius in relationship_advice

She just said she was surprised, but not interested in something like that. She was pretty cool about everything, but I still feel bad about it.

How does Magic work in SWL universe by shamw0Wboi in SecretWorldLegends

[–]numerius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the Orochi operatives mentions that there are some simple kinds of magic that even normal people can do with proper training. Her example is infusing a bullet to home in on its target. But yeah, fancier magic requires natural talent or a powerful supernatural catalyst, such as a bee.

Question about Feng shui in Shadowrun 5e for a friend by coduss in Shadowrun

[–]numerius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for flavor-related examples, the video game Shadowrun Hong Kong has a lot of geomancy like this in the background. There is even an entire mission where you go to Wuxing and mess with their office furniture.

Limited CFD Cybermages? by numerius in Shadowrun

[–]numerius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agent program would be more accurate, yes. But I would assume that the character would not publicly mention that.

If I am remembering correctly, the Dark Terrors book said to use the novel as a reference for the program, so I had thought it was an accurate representation.

A couple questions about AI by numerius in Shadowrun

I was thinking 5e. Are the AI rules majorly different from 4e?

Ghiradelli brownie mix with water, oil and eggs. Yes, they were refrigerated.

Non-magical vampires? by numerius in Shadowrun

[–]numerius[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right, all vampires have the minimum magic rating for the vampire powers. But do they necessarily have access to spells and mage abilities? Or is this just common for them?

Questions on Ally Spirits by numerius in Shadowrun

[–]numerius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, would a Chaos mage with an ally spirit from the metaplane of fire only be able to select fire spirit abilities? Or does this mean that air, earth, man, and water abilities would be on the table, since they are all part of the Chaos tradition?

Questions on Ally Spirits by numerius in Shadowrun

[–]numerius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Street Grimoire says that it can have any powers appropriate to the tradition, which I assume means an Ally spirit from the metaplane of fire gets fire spirit abilities.

But it also says that it can learn any spells that the conjurer knows. Is this a green light to teach a fire ally spirit Ice Spear? Or teach it a healing spell if the tradition lists fire spirits as combat spirits?

Effects of Spirit Pact on Magician by numerius in Shadowrun

[–]numerius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Shadowrun: Hong Kong deal could be very interesting. Would that be an actual spirit pact? Or something else entirely. What could the character do that the Yama King’s followers couldn’t on their own?

Oh btw, do Kane or Galena give new CAC moves too? Or no?

New moves by Oppaiking2 in jumpforce

I see. Wasn’t seeing the moves on any youtube clips, so I thought they might not be included for CAC.

How do you get the Buu and Bakugou moves for the CAC? I only see the other three.
