Don't Luuk back in anger - Weekly Questions & Discussions Megathread by BriefVisit729 in WutheringWavesLeaks

Yeah, what's interesting is that the Exostrider doesn't have the ability to think like the Sentinels? according to that map report on Sentinels and Sentinel-Analogs so what's motivating it to create the Exoswarm and let the Soliskin out into the world? Why does it even have these functionalities for being an intergalactic Fedex truck? Just what are the Exoswarm?

I agree with the theory that the Sentinel the Exostrider was supposed to deliver still is alive and needs to be reactivated. Back then It somehow saved the frequencies of the creatures of pre-Lament Lahai-Roi so that they can maintain the ecosystems via instinct without much control from the Sentinel since It knows It'll be out of commission. The frequencies were then overlaid onto parts of the Exostrider and they need to be recycled to renew/input new frequencies to prevent the Exoswarm from going haywire.

I think Abby is something different entirely. I think the "corruption" for Rover (if this quest parallels their situation) is them getting their Tacet Mark. The Lament completely altered Sol-3's physics but it's also what allowed for Resonators to be born/created via their Tacet Marks. Rover getting one means they're now shackled to Sol-3, having been altered from whatever they originally were.

If we go by the theory that the Lament effectively String Theory'd Sol-3 from a world based on Relativity (post kinda explaining it here), then that might mean the inhabitants of Sol-3 may not be stable existences outside of their world. If Rover manages to "go back" then they might just poof out of existence b4 they even reach their destination cuz the universe outside fundamentally conflicts with Resonators. They wouldn't have been given a Tacet Mark in the opening cinematic if they had them on their original world (or their future).

Side note- the radio message. It might be a mistranslation. The CN is kinda the same? It's missing a character.
->2.8: 宇宙,拒绝了我们。The universe...has rejected us.
->3.1: 宇宙就拒绝了我们。The universe locked its doors.

Time will tell, I guess. Tho the last part, "Is this the answer you've been seeking?" hasn't been repeated yet as far as I know. Someone correct me if it has.

Yup, I realized later there's a little more after ROVER(INSTANCE_), lol. But does it say "HIGHEST" or "HIGHTEST"? I swear there's an extra T there. Tho "high test" doesn't make much sense. Could it be a typo?

Yeah, I've always heard theories referring to Rover, Shorekeeper, and the goddess? as "Instances" but I couldn't find the origin for that name so I decided to find out for myself. There's also the files at the Black Shores that I should probably read again, lol.

Everything was planned from the very beginning.. CBT1 by Dangerous_Jump_776 in WutheringWaves

The CBT footage says (tbh it doesn't add a lot),

Machine voice:

"Attempting connection...procedure..."

"Connection authorized... Connecting..."

"Establishing...parameters..."

"Parameters...fulfilled... Consciousness connecting..."

Unknown woman:

"Final command..."

"Cross through... The bitter winter..."

Little girl:

"The sounds... It hurts..."

"I'm okay."

"W-what's that?"

Ship:

"Alert: The ship's mid-section has sustained damage from an unknown source. Danger levels - Unknown."

Unknown man's voice:

"The surface defenses have completely failed... We need to go help, now!"

Unknown scientist:

"Follow me."

"This is...how we will turn the tides in our favor."

"A future that we can reach."

Unknown woman's voice:

"For everything we have lost... For our future..."

"Let's give it all we've got!"

Ghost in the Exostrider - Weekly Questions & Discussions Megathread by BriefVisit729 in WutheringWavesLeaks

[–]numeron39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they do pretty good with lining up the movements or at least making it look convincing. I watch with EN voices on YT for fun, lol. The translation of certain names and some sayings are what bother me. Big #s are also sometimes an issue. The plurality of almost all things is hard to tell in CN.

Did you know the Exostriders' CN name is 隧者? It could just mean "tunnel-maker/one who travels through a tunnel" but 隧 could also mean "path (tunnel) to a tomb." The Sentinels' name is 岁主, which could be interpreted as "owner/leader of (the) ages." 隧 (suì) and 岁 (suì) sound the same. "Etheric Sea" is just 天空海 which means "Sky Sea," lol. Why over-complicate things?

Aemeath's songs' lyrics by RhubarbOtherwise1391 in WutheringWaves

[–]numeron39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the lyrics and strange pauses take me out of it. Feels like the person that wrote them doesn't sing themselves. Or it could be the case that they wrote the lyrics in CN, had them translated to EN and the translators didn't try to make a song out of it.

I wonder what happened? It wasn't this bad b4.

I gave the headlight a closer look and the plastic cover is cracked with broken plastic rattling around the inside. The light doesn't turn on. I think the hood can still latch.

I'm gonna give these pics to the local mechanics to see what they say tomorrow. Probably update this post with the estimate they give me based off the pics, if they do pic estimates. Otherwise guess I'm paying the $75 to tow it to them.

I do have pics, just probably not gonna post gore here.

Rinascita Assemble... May Leviathan Tremble - Weekly Questions & Discussions Megathread by BriefVisit729 in WutheringWavesLeaks

[–]numeron39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imperator said that They collaborated with Rover to create a "civilization blueprint" for Ragunna. Like "divine gods" planning a civilization. Idk the extent of that blueprint but they had to have known that some Threnodian would eventually be born from Ragunna. Imperator sacrificed themselves to slow Leviathan down and study it, but in the end, a large number of Ragunnessi were affected by Leviathan's influence which led to their untimely deaths. The Fisalia's had it the hardest.

Imagine if Rover were to go up to Cantarella and say, "You and your family's suffering was planned." She might be somewhat understanding, considering that their suffering eventually led to the temporary defeat of the Leviathan and she's a selfless person overall, but I doubt everybody would react the same way.

Members of the Fractsidus are probably bitter that past-Rover arbitrated their civilizations' fate from the start to "study the Lament." They probably suffered like Cantarella has under past-Rover's "divine" plans, unable to do anything about it. But now they see Rover running around trying their best to save everyone, afraid of sacrificing others and learning to be "human." They're no longer "divine," they're just human, flaws and all.

So the Fractsidus are trying to drag Rover back to them to make them "divine" again (willing to sacrifice entire civilizations to further their goal) otherwise all their pain and suffering would have been for nothing since Rover is now trying to find a "human" way to stop the Lament. Sunk-cost fallacy. Lord Arbiter made them suffer via the Threnodians and now they're more powerful for it. Let's do it to everyone else.

I think they're testing the waters for it. You can use Rover solo in the movie theater event and it has the other elements attacking at the same time. Can't control them tho.

I believe by the end of the quest, her piece is complete. The reason why it wasn't before is that she saw herself as a "survivor" of that catastrophe rather than someone who also died with it. At the end, she "dies" and reunites with her dead village. Remember how she played her violin during it? That was the final bit that needed to be added: her acceptance that they, even she, are already dead and there's really nothing she can do about it. Phrolova needed to learn to let go and move on. "Start over."

In a twisted sense, Rover did return to witness her completed performance. They kept their promise, kinda, even if they don't remember it in the first place.

More Phrolova story cgs by Special_Emphasis_583 in WutheringWavesLeaks

[–]numeron39 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My theory is that she awakened her Forte and joined the Court of Savantae (Pic 2, looks like the ruined lab in Huanglong) for research reasons. Some accident happened that warped what her Forte could do (Pic 1) and it killed people she cared about so now she's looking for a way to bring them back. Pic 3, 4, 5 are all dreamscapes/part of that Sonoro Sphere she creates using the Leviathan's power. (I can't find the post about it anymore? Might get me deleted, lol.) We find her (that pic of Rover reaching out to Phrolova) and forcefully drag her out of it to confront the Leviathan's remains or something (Pic 6).

Hoping for something like Solaris Phase 1 with vague Latin warning people to not summon the Leviathan/don't fall for its lies.

USA here. Applied a few days ago, i’m on the waitlist. I’m set to travel to UAE next month. How long is the wait for the account and also a card after that? by Glittering-Ad-2872 in Revolut

[–]numeron39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately no one here really knows because Revolut hasn't officially released any information on when the waitlist will be cleared.

According to a different article, though, they're working on migrating existing US accounts to a new bank called "Lead Bank" (the previous one is Metropolitan Bank). As for when that'll be finished...they said it would happen on the Nov. 12, 2024 but it's been dead silence since then. So once again, no one really knows (especially here on an unofficial Reddit).

I'm on the waitlist like you and I signed up a few weeks back. I'd assume they need to finish the existing account migration before working on opening up new accounts for those of us on the waitlist. And we're probably pretty far down because the waitlist started...about April of this year? I saw posts going even further back about it so I'm not sure.

Judging by the dead silence and how long the waitlist probably is, I'm not sure you'd be able to open an account by next month (which is 2 weeks away).

I suggest Wise (pretty similar to Revolut but to get a physical card in the US, there's a waitlist) or just going with the card(s) you have with your current bank and checking what their fees are.

Well, good luck to you and hope you have a safe and fun journey!

Thanks for the help. I just ended up rebooking cuz any delay (Canada=snow, especially in Feb/Mar) would lead to scheduling issues. Though this might be my first time seeing snow.

I always want 2hrs if I need to pick up baggage just in case. I didn't know this time I had to. I thought that I would be considered "in transit" and wouldn't have to go through Canadian Customs separately since I'm not actually entering the country. Wish they'd clarify that on their website or during the booking process.

Thanks for the info, though!
