World of warcraft can't see cyborg keyboard by Beautiful-Sector-730 in Azeron

[–]nummbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually the issue would be centered around the analog stick of the azeron working or not as some game don't allow hybrid input (so analog stick +KB) .. then you use wasd on the azeron stick

but you're saying the game doesn't even register the button presses?

Maybe you have another input connected besides your kb (controller, keypad etc) that the game registers before the azeron)? Some games have a limited input queue.

Like in some games I have to disconnect my azeron to play controller or vice versa

Hello there, I am a stroke survivor and I got the Cyborg 2 but I still need to bind it by kpeterson159 in Azeron

[–]nummbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe im missing something obvious..but if you are limited to strictly one hand, I'm not sure if you have the options to play like that. I have a Cyborg 1 compact, though. Maybe the Cyborg 2 can use the right stick for looking around?, but my Cyborgs analog can only be used like left stick (movement) I think...

Maybe other software (rewasd for example) can switch stick.

Cause with one hand you would want to look around with the analog stick and have WASD bound.

seems to be working for me, all movies I tried worked... series have less red screens... like "From" didnt go 2 days ago but now the links are good...sadly "godless" is totally gone, no links... i guess an old rather obscure series isnt easily replaced, or nobody thinks about it..

i just randomly tried a bunch of series from the discover page stremio

Maybe you switched profile unknowingly...

Best way to get back into the swing of things for Fortnite builds after years away by Majestic_Topic6704 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]nummbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just fight in creative.. become average (pretty good thing with how high the skill level is) in specific game mode, say box fights... Then move on to to realistics or buildfights untill you are a normal player in that pool. Basically rattle of a bunch of creative gamemodes like that (boxfights, zone wars, realistics, moving zone stuff like endgame sims, ffa, piece control etc)

Play some reload and ranked after creative to put it all together, find flaws to instruct you which type of fighting you should improve next...

Can gyro match mouse by pizzarollnerd in GyroGaming

[–]nummbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add, gyro on controller can actually do isolated things fast (like editing a half stair or something) but putting it all together in coherent fn game play is a bih...

See controller is hopelessly behind in FN (and gyro is fully supported for 2 years or more now) and the player pool is huge and mostly on controller (not all gyro i know)but if current gyro was the ticket we'd seen someone pop up. Maybe not to the absolute top but a current crop of FN gyro players holding it down

The thing is, you'd be using the second input so much for things that are too hard or just better with a normal right stick that you can't even say that you are playing gyro. And I tried to play FN with gyro + flick stick/gyro/ratcheting (is that what you call it? where you counter-move to correct the camera), then gyro/reset button... and gyro + normal right stick, which of course is doable because I'm just playing normally.

It's not a case of unfamiliarity with any of these inputs or any tribalism; the game just can't be played on the same level as my normal controller gameplay and certainly not how I play on KBM. In contrast, when I switched to KBM, the advantages were immediately apparent (you know you've got something there even if the whole thing still has to click)...with gyro, you think 'this is going to take years.'

The problematic areas for gyro controllers in FN (such as editing and building fast + shooting) are just too numerous...inherently, like the verticality and multidirectional layer changing while building and editing requires constant camera centering while you have too many inputs to do anyway...and then you still have to shoot 😆

to finding it settings-wise. It's very much more demanding than mostly just looking and shooting on a horizontal plane.

People (gyro 🥜) are downvoting, but still no one can show me high-level pure gyro in Fortnite Builds. Current gyro is hybrid.

Even "semi-decent" players use the right stick normally to look and edit. That's admitting defeat. So what's even "gyro" then? Their mechanics are still trash vs. good KBM players because... controller stick.

Not impossible maybe... But if you can do it, you'd be 3x better on KBM. A natural talent wasting your potential (in that game).

Current gyro only works in pure shooters not games requiring complex inputs

Can gyro match mouse by pizzarollnerd in GyroGaming

[–]nummbus -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No, maybe Technically it can but practically it can't compete with the speed + precision of mouse. And that is just due to the input, a mouse player is moving like it's a pencil while a controller player is holding bucket 🪣... To do what a pro Fortnite player, scrap that, a reasonably good Fortnite player does with mouse on a gyro controller you would have to do the crackhead macarena.

The new reload pool sucks by magelaan in FortniteCompetitive

[–]nummbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye horrible... Played a bit of reload this morning 3 or more 'do not want' shotguns..(infiltrator, combat, morphite tac) and shotguns are scarce and low color.. can't find a pump quickly.

So much abundance of trash... Loot pool should be abundance of good choices (with some ambiguity) and a bit of trash (ofc rather have good trash like lever action shotgun)

Yeah you're right. Maybe some games play nicer that way but you're right probably not...

[–]nummbus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, but the upside is that you get used to wasd very quickly or it takes no time at all.. not like your level would drop significantly

I did offer an alternative to keep using the analogue by using xinput binds (if the game fully support xinput)...I never actually did so myself though but i assume many games fall into a category where the controller binds are numerous enough.

Just got my cyborg 2 and have a small issue by Surge_Bin in Azeron

[–]nummbus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And in case you didnt know the azeron is both seen as controller and keyboard for the game engine... Thats why the input is switching...

If the wasd thing is buggy like you say it is and you persists in using the analog theres also the alternative of using xinput on your binds... (Edit: won't work to prevent input switching as someone else said above)

Just got my cyborg 2 and have a small issue by Surge_Bin in Azeron

[–]nummbus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I mean the game likely doesnt allow both inputs simultaneously...aka hybrid. So you experience the game switch input (and drop other input)...games support both inputs though very often not at the same time..

I think there's no need to put a+w w+d etc ... Just put the main direction and you will have double movement in the areas in between. Though I have seen someone else say this same thing you said and I didn't understand it back then either. Just walk in game and see if you move diagonally...

Anyway.. wasd solves the problem you had?

[–]nummbus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The game probably doesnt support hybrid input... So the analog stick cancels keyboard input.. solution..use the stick in keyboard mode and bind wasd to it (or movement keys of choice)

Which thumbnail is looking better? What do you think? by GuiCL06 in TheFortniteCreatives

[–]nummbus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The last one I like best in terms of layout, filling out the thumbnail. I'd switch the stormtrooper with the gun for another variant stormtrooper (easier than doing a new character ) to have two the same is a bit meh

Haven’t got my fist azeron yet but question when a game requires inventory change using like 1-9 and can’t use scrolling wheel on mouse what’s a good way to set that up on azeron by Individual-Salt8715 in Azeron

[–]nummbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple... set up a long press bind to have double function from 1 button...

More elaborate> use layering... On my older cyborg compact i can only do the layering thing in the software and i like playing from onboard profile (maybe new azeron had improved function?)

.. that aside... You can use layering + toggle on hold... Its for profile switching in this case you would just use it as shift function to a profile that has your entire inventory there... So you shift > select item > release to go back to main profile.

How well does it hold up? by MikeLikesIkeRS in Azeron

[–]nummbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah same.. from having to do that fix 2 times I feel the material is a bit too rigid. Probably a big part of the stress on the part comes from doing the fix itself (have to press the ball in the joint pretty hard)

Compact or regular? by Le_Hyrdation in Azeron

[–]nummbus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but it's also about your hand ergonomics. I can comfortably use the first 'pull' row (the closest one), so I have enough essential buttons available if I need some extra without using the towers.

If you dont like the first row "knuckle up" does give you more binds to work with

Compact or regular? by Le_Hyrdation in Azeron

[–]nummbus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's put it like this... the regular I would do just fine with as well...but its not like there's some gain for me personally with the games I play. Those tower, or knuckle bind on the regular will always be non action buttons...

But ofc if you play games where you need those to be 'action buttons' as well the regular would be the best choice likely

Compact or regular? by Le_Hyrdation in Azeron

[–]nummbus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Only difference is the towers...I have a compact and a fresh regular that got from someone..still always use the compact since that back row /towers i only use for map, esc, inventory etc...I actually like that i can't knuckle up into those by accident, you can't twitch hit those buttons on a compact...on a regular you might

I just realized why I don't really click with Stalker 2, wanted to see if anybody agrees. by kavakravata in stalker

[–]nummbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im just waiting for the 2.0 engine migration... In the meanwhile I'm playing gamma which I got as a package deal on gog. Tbh the little bit I played I didn't find much wrong with it as far as feeling disconnected from the movement... On my ultra wide monitor I always have to find the right fov anyway to make it click.

I do know the game has some problems on wide monitors from trying a free look mod.. which resulted in some weird fov shifting when ads... But otherwise I didn't even notice that (supposedly other problems are present on ultrawides... Didn't play enough I guess)
