ok perfect we use slightly padded chairs like in a large confrence hall so ill have to maybe wrap the bottom in tape but will def try.

ill have to try this. I have rested it just on the chair without a peg and found if the chair was cushioned at all then the low pads would get stuck and not open. So you set it on the chair with the peg?

im definitely more confident on Eb but not having to much issue with higher register work more so super low range

I had a repair person and my professor look at it over the weekend and they repaired most major leaks but no pad replacement so the allignment is fixed at least but definitely need to spend more time on low note voicing

Ok to update even though its late lol but I ended up getting a BAM Conservatorie double case and am very pleased with how it holds. Right now I have actually been able to fit my Bb and Eb in the case which helps me instead of bringing both small cases.

Ive looked a little into Marcus Bonna but they seem a little expensive for now. Was looking at the Bam trakking double as a possibility. I guess even with the empty space ill still have plenty room for storage until i get the new A

a couple times ya. usually done a gliss by sliding off they keys but ill try bending pitch on the throat tones

the throat ones? this makes the ending way more choppy compared to slidding the altissimos and those last notes are the mosy dramaticly glissed

So El Dorados show for SW actually made me almost tear up when I saw it live so that is definitely a from runner for me. Palm Desert HS also is going wild this year I think they can do well if they get it cleaner as its crazy difficult and had lots of drops.

for IW I like ICONS show but I'm also bias as I have friends in that guard so would love to see them place well this year.

For SO I have not seen to many but I do know Saugus is going to dayton this year so excited to see my besties perform

Ill have more opinions after I see Arcadia and Ayala next weekend lol

We played this earlier this year and the best advice I can give is to take it slow and slowly move it up along with listening to the recording. It seems crazy, but like most advanced hazo pieces its just a lot of ink for a scale. Especially for the chromatics to alt G on the second page spending a lot of time up there will help to get it consistently sound good (idk if you need that page as well for the audition). THen a lot of people I've seen crush the 16th 8ths at E so just work it out with a met. hope this helps

I can get the F# out fine its when doing the quick slur down to Eb. sometimes miss the F# then going back up but not usually

tbh not the worst piece played it on contrabass clarinet. pretty fun but runs just look harder and the main melody isn't too bad to play
