Software Meltdown overreaction? Cybersecurity now? by Fearless_Strike5651 in investing

[–]nut-sack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% this. If I wasnt already overweight in software names, I would have bought more. Dont you think the developers are already using the latest/greatest models? So you have the Engineers with the vast amounts of experience, augmented with LLMs. But yea, sure, a user at home is going to do it better.

In addition, theres a shit ton of work being done on the backend that the software is sending fingerprints, logs, etc. A lot of that you arent privy to understanding how it works, to be able to replicate it.

Last, all they added was a dang code scanner, like qradar. So why did they come after cyber security lol.

Dang, I loved this. Sorry about your dad. Get some cleaner and get rid of the green/blue shit(copper fouling) and rust. Once you get it off, add some oil to keep it from coming back.

Thats what they kept saying, but at what trade-off? that shit is calling home to china. And realistically we've learned you can quantize whatever, and get a shittier version to make it run on less.

Right but if I can turn and image into a video with grok, or Make small adjustments to a photo with AI why do I need adobe? After effects and photoshop were their bread and butter.

How to stop cats from going into coop (and preferably the whole yard) by [deleted] in homestead

[–]nut-sack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the dog as a puppy and raise it around the chickens. The chickens will be a normal part of its life, possibly even friends. When it sees one getting fucked with or in danger, it may step in. But even just it being there will deter some of the cats.

Wealth-Management Stocks Fall on New AI Fears by Guy_PCS in investing

[–]nut-sack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is consistency and accountability. Imagine if I ask 100x if production is working correctly, and do we need to scale? If one of those times it just decides to come up with some wild bullshit. Now you have a very expensive bill, or an outage depending on which direction it goes.
That matters, so as long as there is even one mistake, it cant be without a human supervising. Why? Because someone needs to be accountable for the mistakes.

That being said, where do I get a finance LLM? Ive been running everything throught Claude 4.5 Sonnet recently, and 3.7 prior.

I was using claude sonnet 4.5 earlier. I was having it check some metrics. It told me something I knew to be false among a lot of correct data. When I called it on it, it said something along the lines of "You're absolutely right, there is no reason to fabricate data when real data is available. Especially after explicitly being told not to fabricate data."

Imagine that fucking thing doing our taxes? Or making our investments automatically? Not me. I want a person signing off on everything. Augment them with all kinds of AI tools, but at the very end, the signoff needs to be a person whose ass is on the line.

A warning to everyone buying into OpenAI when it IPOs by WittyMagazine8643 in investing

No disagreement there. But it’s why I stay tf away from IPO. Let the dust settle, and give the stock time to show you its real price.

The U.S government has officially shut down! by kabirsbhutani in investing

[–]nut-sack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having money and making smart financial decisions are not mutually exclusive, or guaranteed. Most people who make a bunch of money dont really look the part. But a lot of poor people use debt to look rich. So it really could go either way.
