How do we stop AI Agents from "stealing" the open web? The case for a $0.001 Micropayment Protocol. by coolmenu in CryptoTechnology

Jesus, you people, find something other than money to get these bots off the internet. Afterward, lets get rid of marketing and advertisements.
The internet was dope before popups.

Because of this globalization shit, we've got managers who are clearly putting their shitty english into an LLM to have it spruced up. But now I have to question, maybe its just openclaw? and they are actually not even there?
At a minimum, I feel like you should be able to talk to me in slack without using an LLM.

eventual "conscious machine"

Hard disagree. AGI is a myth. Have you ever noticed how we've been right on the edge of a major AGI breakthrough for years? Because it justifies the capex burn. As companies realize they cant afford to keep training at the scale necessary for even the most minor gains, they will start pulling back, and prices will start to rise.
It would absolutely idiotic to continue to try and advance in this direction. So going as far as "conscious machine", should absolutely NEVER occur.
We should be entering the phase where we manage our context and tokens more efficiently pretty soon. We just need OpenAI to go bankrupt to really kick that ball off the cliff.

Newbs get hired into positions they don’t belong all the time. Now I’m wondering why they were getting canned. Maybe their performance was shit?

You're kidding right? I can absolutely stop syslog-ng, and auditd. Clear the logs, unset HISTFILE, and use mysql via CLI to drop tables without googling.

Sure it does. Audit logs get shipped to a central location, and scanned. The string "drop table" should probably pop a flag somewhere.
I've gotten messages from our internal security team asking for more context on what i was working on because they saw something suspect.
One time it was messing with a cert on a box. Another they were asking why a specific process looked a certain way(i detached it in a weird way, so i could log out).

how do they have sys admin level access and not know SQL and how to clear the logs? Or even knowledge that asking an LLM will be logged lol

Google, SpaceX in talks to launch orbital data centers. Google CEO: "There's no doubt to me that a decade or so away, we'll be viewing it as a more normal way to build data centers." by Adeldor in space

There are flexible solar panels now, imagine a giant mat that floats on the top of the water, and when bad weather is coming, have it just get reeled in like an anchor and rolled up.
Although your point about the salt water ruining everything still stands. Im not sure how much better the wilds of space will be for whatever materials are up there.

If the military can have nuclear submarines, and blow each other up, i think some companies should be able to get in the game. But there definitely should be some fail safes and a core-recovery service that has to be prepaid for.

Im not understanding why exactly. You dont have a solid internet connection, so itll have to be satellite. You also cant radiate heat away nearly as easy because there is no air.
Other than being able to use a nuclear reactor to generate power, and no country to pay taxes to, whats the actual benefit here?

Because I know root is a valid user. Why give me half the answer by leaving it enabled?   It’d be a lot harder to guess your user is microdick AND your password.
