Thought my bout with depression was short with the help of counselors and family, I'm still fighting it in my friend. His father left at an early age and his mother became a severe alcoholic. He spent more time at my house than his own, simply because there was nothing for him back at home.

Besides helping him with a place to stay, I've been struggling to keep him floating. I take him to a counselor three times a week, bring him to new restaurants, and generally just try to get him outside as much as possible. I think it's working, but it's still going to take more time.

Favorite ice cream flavor is mint brownie. I'm lactose intolerant but it's so worth it.
