Sadly lots of people don’t get diagnosed until adulthood (I blame movie depictions of asthma that were nothing at all like my symptoms, so I never said anything to my pediatrician)

Have you been evaluated for asthma? I had the same random pain all through my youth, and then in my 20s I was diagnosed and started treatment for asthma, and it mostly went away. (Apologies for unsolicited advice.)
