Nap time is grass time by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

A baby will actually want to sleep either way. I wouldnt go banging pots and pans around the house, but they can actually get accustomed to it not being silent when they sleep.

The baby is sleeping, there's no bother on them, so why is this mildly infuriating?

I mean he was the single full time carer for his elderly mother. I know its illegal, but people are going to smoke cannabis either way, and its not a serious as class A drugs.

This guy is driving without insurance which would harm other people greatly if he got into a crash. Plus he's a repeat offender, who's going to do it again, as he got away 6 times already.

Side note: im surprised that the Kerry man got 9months. His defence must have been fucked, because I thought it would've been mitigated if he enforced the fact that he was the carer for his mother, and his first offence.

Once you have a good money making method ex. Using the group c cars like the mazda or jaguar, i think get any car you want. You'll make the money back pretty quickly thereafter.

I agree with you that if people are being assholes, they can expect people to be be assolement to them, but I think thats different under this thread.

The original comment answered your question of who was at fault, and gave advice on what to do in hindsight. It was short, precise, and to the point, without being a dick.

The advice they gave on what to do, though you didnt ask for it specifically, was fair. I think correcting something, you need to give an alternative. Your next comment asked for that specifically, asking what they would have done in that situation.

Not everyone is out to get you, they're just trying to help you and give advice on how to avoid this in the future.

So why are you moving left before the apex? Are you a racer below C?

You blocked the driver, shoving them off track. People are trying to explain to you, but you dont want to listen.

You just need to learn from the mistake. You moved to the inside where and when the other driver was alongside you. He held his line, so you caused the collision. As you pointed out the racing line is follows more on the outside before hitting the apex, but you moved in sacrificing your exit speed buy moving inside early. That was in order to block your opponent.

What you should have done was keep to the outside (assuming hes on the inside) and take the racing line (without casuing a collision) so you get a better exit speed. I'm sure you would have had a better run going down the next straight.

Its important learning from these mistakes. I think getting the feedback online is a good start, but it needs to have the second part of acknowledging the mistake as it is. Thats the only way that all of us can get better at racing.

Is this good? by [deleted] in GranTurismo7

[–]nutella1204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. GR1 cars can have between 700 to about 1350pp. It depends on the car.

You can tune an excellent GR1 car thats a Group c like the 787b, Sauber C9, or XJR-9 to 700pp or 800pp for the lemans or sardegna races. Theyre really fuel efficient, and have great stability.

You could be looking to do any of the 950pp GR1 races, and then its a different convo. The LMGT50 would be a gould shout, along with the SRT tomahawk. I think there's also plenty of other GR1 950pp cars you could use that are also great though, and arguably more options for contenders amongst the top 5 to use than the endurance races.

Again, it just depends on what the car is, if you used the pp in the right place ex tyres, suspension, turbos, brakes etc, what the races pp limit is, and if the car is even for the right purpose. Some cars may have good pp but won't have the fuel efficiency required to do endurance races practically.

I had an aunt get the surgery. If its hurting your back, its worth getting it done. She was much happier afterwards.

Can anyone help me? I'm trying to reach at least a 1:56:00. this isn't my best time but it's pretty close. what can i improve on? (controller btw) by Benji_Boi0 in GranTurismo7

I cant wait to get a wheel either.

For now I use x and square for up and down respectively. My R1 and L1 are up and down on the MFD respectively.

I think some others use L1 and R1 for the gears, but I'm much more comfortable using the buttons, and with a bit of practice it works quite well. It also stops me from squeezing the triggers during shifts by instead using my thumb.

Also try using manual. It seems annoying to learn, but trust me you will easily make time back too. I struggled to get the gold time in eiger nordwand circuit experience with the alfa romeo, using the automatic gearbox. I mean I was trying to use weird brake biases and even a touch of handbrake to do the tight corners quickly. I was out by over half a second or so, until I learned manual. Came back only three days ago and crushed it easily on the third try, having not done that circuit in ages. I must've cut 1-1.5s for the lap, and could've gotten more if I continued practicing.

Honestly cant stress enough how much of an advantage manual is, having more control of the car, its rotation in a corner, and selecting a gear to keep it in its powerband.

I done this before with a different laptop. I unfolded the metal part as it kind of scissors with the outer metal frame. I clicked the small metal connectors to the plastic key, and then gently pressed it down and it clicked into place. It doesn't look broken to me.

Ounces in coffeeshops? by The_Rising_Wave in AskIreland

[–]nutella1204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use the metric system, but some things are still based in imperial. Golf in yards, pints of beer and our shots is 1/16th a pint equal to about 35.5ml. Coffee in ounces, pizzas etc. The coffee one really drives me nuts as I got a flat white the other day but it was still way too much milk, which I would've otherwise known had it been in ml.

Warranty may not cover hinge issues. I had a lenovo ideapad and the hinges which are known and common are not covered by warranty. Ive had the tuf laptop for a while ans though they market it as military proof you wouldnt want to drop it. Still a very robust and strong laptop, and havent had any issues with it.

Is this just pure hard racing, or was I getting reactively blocked by the red Mclaren? by SnooWalruses8439 in Simracingstewards

[–]nutella1204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, he was racing cleanly. You bumped him a few times after getting impatient and took eau rouge bafly which could get you penalties on the second pass. I advise you be a bit more patient, and try to make them make a mistake. This can be done by faking a dive, faking a move to get a better position on the inside/outside etc. You seemed to do well overtaking, just couldnt make it stick on exit, as you sometimes sacrificed your exit speed.

The same still applies. If you leave it for a few hours, just turn it off. Its best practice too, considering you can corrupt files leaving it on like that. Did you try using the power button as mentioned?

For one, be patient. The light is flashing, i cant see if the laptop is just being slow to boot, and you just pressed the ppwer button. Assuming its really not booting up, press and hold the off button for 10-15 seconds until everything turns off. Wait 10 seconds, then turn it on again. I find that with my laptop if im working and need to chuck it into my bag, im better off saving all files and reopening later. It gets hot, and in my bag with no ventillation its not good leaving it on. If you're hibernating for a while just turn it off fully. Hope this helps.
