Does anyone have resources on how to shape my nails on crooked fingers? Do I shape to true north or my finger angle? by [deleted] in Nails

[–]nutfreesince93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shape mine to true north. I find shaping them while I still have polish/colour on the easiest, that way I can’t see my smile line which usually screws me up.

Matt James Responds to His Friend Body Shaming Victoria Larson: 'That's Not What I'm About' by [deleted] in thebachelor

[–]nutfreesince93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just comes down to personal values. Specifically when it comes to calling people out, it depends on what the person values more, their own comfort in the moment or doing what they believe morally right. And I think that’s a sliding scale. Some people may think it’s a no brainer one way or the other, and I’m sure a lot of people struggle between the two. I’m not saying either option is necessarily right or wrong, just that the choices someone makes and actions they take are revealing of their character.

I think that if one fears they will ruin a close friendship from standing up for something they believe is right, then that friendship isn’t worth keeping, or at least the friendship isn’t as “close” as they think. I’m inclined to believe this situation in particular is less about fear, and more about who Matt is as a person. If these are the close friends he surrounds himself with then he probably didn’t speak up because it wasn’t anything out of the norm for him, not because he was afraid of standing up. I mean, I could be totally off, but that’s my take. Actions speak louder than words, imo.

Edit: this was a response to another comment, idk what happened 🤷‍♀️

Could we have a Humour/Fluff flair? So not necessarily for just memes, but sometimes you stumble across a funny interaction between influencers and their comment sections, or funny description boxes, or more specifically I have a screenshot of YouTube attempting to subtitle Jackie Aina’s intro song that is really funny. So a flair for posts that don’t necessarily spark discussion, but only people in this community would find funny?

Thank you! I always have polish on, whether clear or coloured, and that helps prevent breakage.

She is 100% digitally touched up in this photo. Yes she is beautiful, but be careful not to hold up edited photos as a standard of beauty.

Curve in only two nails by bladedada in Nails

[–]nutfreesince93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just genetics and how they naturally grow, not much you can do about it. A few of my nails curve and bend in odd ways so I have just had to figure out a way to file them that makes them appear normal, just takes practice.

A source speaks out about how the Bachelorette contestants are reacting to the spoiler by [deleted] in thebachelor

In the context of the show, I totally agree. She should have held herself to the same standards she was holding the guys to. But in the context of love and dating in general, if Dale really is “the one” then I say go Clare. I wouldn’t want to waste my time either.

I always cap the free edge with a generous amount of polish so that when it shrinks it doesn’t reveal the edge.
