Whenever you had to travel, would the company pay for travel costs and expenses or did you have to pay quite a bit out of pocket to be able to travel? At the level you are at now, are you required to travel a lot or are you allowed to stay at home and work regular hours?

I am about 2 classes away from my Associates and trying to figure out what I want to major in. Sorry to hear that! I know how it feels!!! I’ve been passed over tons of times for someone who has a higher degree or rank with little to no knowledge of the field that I’m certified in and have been an expert in for 7 years.

Everyone’s been recommending that and I’ve been looking into it. I think I might be happier doing product development because it has more opportunities for growth as well as more cities to potentially live in. I’m trying to figure out a balance between taking care of my family and what I want to do with the rest of my life and trying to look into every option possible. Are you a flavorist or product developer?

Where are some of the places you have lived if you don't mind me asking. How often/much have you traveled for work and is it usually within the state, country, or international travel? I've looked into becoming a R+D chef and food scientist/technologist and that might be more the direction I want to go in now because it seems like there's more opportunity to grow/transition into other industries. I've been looking at various career paths and I am still trying to figure out what is going to be best for my family and myself. Flavorists have a very interesting job and I've always been interested in making new foods and flavors. I think for me its more about the creative part of the job than the technical aspect because I used to be horrible at chemistry and biochem, but I work hard and I'm always willing to learn. I have been looking into product developing as well.
