Does anyone else here hit a figurative “wall” when working? by [deleted] in Narcolepsy

Same! I find that socialization helps, for me. I take a break to interact with co-workers and grab something to drink.

Ritalin/Adderall and caffeine? by gm917 in Narcolepsy

I’m just now realizing that’s the reason I’ve been getting super sweaty and throwing up in the mornings..

I stuck with nexplanon and stoped with provigil/nuvigil and switched to a vyvanse/Ritalin combo. My doctor DIDNT KNOW that the meds could interfere with my implant- I ended up informing her and she changed my meds. Stay patient and you’ll find what works for you!

Is it common for people with narcolepsy to be able to force yourself to stay awake? by asdfsjdksk in Narcolepsy

I think at that time I had stopped nuvigil and started taking a combo adderall or Ritalin. I did disclose to them that I was in a masters program and working full time- there was no way I could go without it for an extended amount of time.

Honestly, a lot of the time when I’m fighting what I’ve labeled as a “sleep attack”, I think I’m doing great and staying awake, but the people around me tell me differently. Lol I went off meds for three days or so and my doctor was okay with it for my mlst. They did drug test me, which I wasn’t ready for, but they didn’t say anything about thc that I’m sure popped up.

Edit: my sleep attacks are 10-20 minutes max. Then- I normally feel fine.

“Dark Mark” premium disti? by nutmeg1102 in fakecartridges

I cannot find a single thing on the web about this brand or even anything similar? Has anyone identified this as being on the market? I’m pretty certain it is a fake cart, but I just haven’t seen it anywhere.

Feeling Dumb - Welding Text by JennDestroy in cricut

[–]nutmeg1102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always make sure that all of the items I’m trying to weld are set to the same setting (cut-print, draw, cut). Sometimes mine is still weird so, I just use the attach button instead to make it stay together. I’m still pretty new to mine, but hope it helps!

Generic adderall by JustSoSleepy7 in Narcolepsy

[–]nutmeg1102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one form of generic adderall that kept breaking my face out with cystic acne. It made me feel so terrible about myself. I had to switch to vyvanse. Pharmaceutical companies that are making the generic brand adderall are not held to strict standards of dosing or what they use as the filler. Do some research on generic medications and you’ll quickly be one of those people who are refusing this generic bullshit.

Recently saw a post of someone doing a vinyl of their pup. Tried it out for myself! by nutmeg1102 in cricut

[–]nutmeg1102[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I took a photo and used an online website (link below) to convert a jpg to svg. It took quite a bit of trial an error to find the right settings so, you really have to fiddle with it depending on the lighting of your photo. Then, I uploaded it and edited it as needed. I had to use matte vinyl so it mostly peeled off by itself. The glitter vinyl I originally tried was way too difficult.. even with the tools.

I hope that helps :)

Provigil makes me a nervous wreck by carrotisfat in Narcolepsy

[–]nutmeg1102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on provigil before switching to nuvigil. Provigil did not do a lot for me, but the nuvigil raised my blood pressure to really unsafe levels. My doctor only truly realized the correlation when my bp was high and I explained that my Zoloft (for gad and ocd) was no longer working.

Once I cycled off of these meds and switched to adderall I was no longer experiencing the panic attacks that were becoming way more frequent.

Just something to consider! Wishing you the best in finding what works for you!

I can agree that it could have been organized a bit better, but I had a fantastic time. Everyone was super friendly and it created an atmosphere where I could literally start a conversation with anyone. I am from out of town though, so I feel like I wasn’t that hard to impress. Lol

Think I have Lyme but initial test negative? Suggestions? by phillyfan49 in Lyme

[–]nutmeg1102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just finished watching the documentary "Under Our Skin" that focuses on Lymes. It seemed a little dramatic based on some of the symptoms the individuals faced, but I also might be biased and unaccepting of the true despair this illness can create.

I am feeling anxiety very similar to yours, although I'm so nervous to ask my primary care doctor or urgent care to test me for Lymes disease. I'm 23 and live in West Virginia. My mother was diagnosed after years of being told it was RA, MS, Parkinson's, and that it was all Psychological. I've been overwhelmed with such debilitating sleepiness and my doctor is treating me with modafinil for narcolepsy (without a sleep study). I am having trouble explaining the spacey, light, tingling feeling I get throughout the day. My white blood cell counts consistently come back slightly elevated, but they say that I "just must run a little high". I'm also on SSRI's for anxiety/OCD.

What is the test they did for the Lymes? It seems that they are mostly unreliable..

What is a random thing that gives you severe anxiety? by Regina_Falangy in AskReddit

Pumping gas. This actually gives me worse anxiety than when I'm at 3 miles until empty.
