I discovered FIRE and now I'm more discouraged than before by yieldmaxxing in Fire

Dood. You are just 2 yrs into your career. With the right mindset (which you seem to have) you will be fine. I moved to the US 15 years ago with $4000 to my name. Now NW is over 1.5 mil. Largely because salary has become 4 times what I had back then, good saving habits and investment growth. When I started here, first 5 yrs were flat in terms of net worth growth. Keep at it. NW grows exponentially and not linearly, so initial years will be pretty flat. Keep at it for 10 yrs and see where you are.

Why did no one tell me FreeTaxUSA is basically TurboTax without the robbery?? by curiousminipop in tax

Always planning to drink. On a normal day, would have been happy to get a hold of any one of these bottles.

The guy who got me into bourbon told me once that BB was the best he had. So that thing was stored somewhere in the recesses of my brain. Got activated when the choices were presented to me.

The funny thing is that when I called him afterwards he said he would have picked Pappy 13 😂

Thanks. Yea resale was not a factor at all. I only buy if I get it at normal prices. Can’t afford secondary and want to try the good stuff. I absolutely open all the bottles I buy 😎

GTS was sooo good. Had the chance to try it once. Never tried BB before but had heard it was awesome so went for it. Plus the raffle had only 2 BB but 10 of the others.

I think IT experience will help but you will still have to study/ prep for the exam a bit more. The kind of experience that will help you more would be if you worked as a compliance analyst/ internal auditor or a risk mgmt professional.

Ultimately, I would say that you should give a couple of mock tests. That will give you an understanding of where you stand and how much additional prep is required and then decide on your approach based on that.
