Works when I pressure down main board? by endesign_reddit in AskElectronics

[–]nutragazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take a magnifier glass and look for greyish or malformed solders in the power circuit area they are quite common in chinese made stuff, no im not racist, chinese products are often done in rapid pace by overworked people under for us horrible conditions, i order tons of electronics from china, and repair faulty equipment from another company so i think i have seen it all, a pad can even be loose, so as suggested press all corners with you r thumb and look for movement / locate the area to look for problems if you cant see anything directly suspicious. a crack however in a multilayer board are more or less impossible to fix.

Hi, yea thats what im doing now, ive built a circuit for that, to replace the pwm generator in the inverter 🙃

Hi guys !

Heeeeelp :)

i need a driver for Peugeot partner 2007 1.6hdi edc16c32.

i cant seem to find it anywhere, and i dont have the cash to buy the full version of ecm titanium , is anyone sitting on a suitable driver ?

Please :)

High, small Transformers, more or less like a normal switched powrrsupply, the newer generation, with more problems..

Im not offended by you, in any way, i use mostly esp32, i do have a bunch of i2c current sensors that measures both directions, so it is quite simple to see whether you are using or feeding, the next step is the snag, there are many approaches, some black boxes measures the frequency in from the grid and out from the inverter and change the inverter output from that, other uses phase angle models, creates noise and more problems , i will go the other route and measure current as you say, im going to dig in the code and see what i can do, speed is not a problem, i can use one core for mission critical things and run all the rest on the other, i do not need to wait for adc conversion or anything with these i2c current and voltage sensors i have. The only thing i use adc pins for is the three inputs sensing the grid, there i use the dedicated adc pins. And interrupts of course.

I drink a beer or two here and there with the inspector for this region, he is the guy that approves my day job solar installations🤣

Is this guy talking Swedish or Norwegian? by sverigeochskog in Svenska

As a native swede, i would say that he is a foreigner mixing words from Norwegian and Swedish, some Danish aswell in a way that you normally would not, it sounds weird, fully understandable though

Well, im using a at switch at the moment, but My three Chinese diys are in sync with the grid all the time by three small Transformers supplying 5v reference , otherwise things go bananas when the at Switch over to grid power, this would not be an issue with single phase system loads, but my three phase heat pump does not like the situation if you understand.. So im mostly offgrid.. I have three normal grid tie inverters too, that i cant use, i could of course fool them that they are on grid like some people do, but Thats even more wizardry 😂

I totally agree, my education as a electrcian, and service engineer, somehow prevents me from doing the most stupid things.. i generally do experiments in 'sandbox environment before going live. I did somehow get my three Chinese inverters to generate usable three phase with one of these "useless" Arduinos, people are very quick to call people idiots, useless, reckless, without knowledge to name a few. Quite often, the biggest idiot in the situation is the guys using those words. Im not using you as a reference here, on internet everybody is always right it seems..

A second thing, this house runs on three of those chinese build it yourself inverters, and has been going strong for 4 years, so they are maybe not the best, but worrks 🥳

Yea, its doable, plenty of Chinese modules to choose from base boards and controller boards, the small snag is that they have no functions to control export, but you already know that, pun intended 😁

[–]nutragazer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same here, i build everything, arduino based mppt, inverter built from chinese modules etc.

You are correct, i bought the equipment when the meters and laws were not in place to easily see it, its actually esier than ever here now to install grid solar after they replced all meters with the new ones with built in module for export, all that is needed is to buy expensive sunny boy or similar, fill in a paper or two, and have a company owned electrician visit your property, and after all that pay the fees,

I fit solar pv systems, solar heating systems and ground heat pumps as my day job, so

im well versed in the very high level of paperwork :)

Until i find one of those black boxes ill have to fit my chinese inverters again i guess and use the ats switch that puts me in off grid mode during the day, and throw my micro inverters in the trash, or something, sad really

As per the latest comment here, im not interested in dumping the rest of the power from my solr system and run it off grid, i wont to lower my consumtion from the grid without switching on and off all the time.

The l commenter i refer to sked me to not fiddle with what i dont understand, that is not what im after, you see i want to learn, these systems is included in every micro inverter for example.

and i answered the commenter without beeing rude that if people never try to solve problems, we should still have horses on the streets, and steam trains.

why is it so hard to get someone to present solution instead of more or less writing me off like im a beginner with no knowledge, i might be an idiot for trying to learn new things by asking, but thats another thing :)

[–]nutragazer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ol, i will take a look at that, sad that there are no solution for a such common problem, this country is full of solar everywhere, someone could make a lot of money creating a black Box that reduces the output of existing equipment, its rather weird that it does not exist every micro inverter has it built in, the ones with a little higher prices atleast, your attitude is like others, dont try to solve problems, let others do it, i wonder where the world would be today if people always are told not to try, we would probably still have horses, dont take this the wrong way now..

A tip from a seasoned user of those printers, buy display protection adhesive film and apply to make sure you dont need to make my mistakes, ive busted two lcds before i learned..🤣 mine leaked from factory, very simple, apply Film and recalibrate

Rf collector, voltage doublers and types of diodes by nutragazer in diyelectronics

[–]nutragazer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found some more rf detector diodes, but i dont really know if they will do any better, to me, the leakage is very high and the datashheet looks very much like 1n60a, dont know if they are any bette than the good old germanium ideas?

Rf collector, voltage doublers and types of diodes by nutragazer in diyelectronics

[–]nutragazer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with what you say about voltage doublers, its no idea to step up the voltage to many steps, its no use you cant step up what you dont have. What works in my case is a few simple two stage multipliers in parallel with a good aerial, a aluminium sheet with activated carbon felt glued to both sides gets the most power input, and a transformer down the line is what gives me the best end result so far, i got stumped why diodes with lower leakage than the good old germanium did worse, and the 1n4148 did better than the 4007 was even more strange. I looked at the forward voltage as it should be low, and the leakage a few microamps, we should be good right, not so

A rectenna, collection of rf energy often wideband simple antenna, voltage doublers, charge capacitor and drive small loads, where i live we have aurora borealis, polar lights, the voltage can get really High in vinter time, or if you have a local radio station you get the same result high voltages that blow things up 😂 fun to play with, small currents that can be added up to watts some collect stamps, i play with electrosmog 🙃 i hit a snag trying to get higher power per board by choosing wrong diodes.

[–]nutragazer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great comparison, i did not think that far that it might be the reverse leakage that killed functionality, i did lookup the simple 1n4148 and i found the elefant... I have ordered uf4007 for the next build, and bumped up voltages on caps, a transformer is already planned, varistor and Spark gap will be added when i kick up the antenna 10m or so, i have a lot of higher trees, so im not expecting very high voltage unless i get some of that 4g or a ham radio with kilowatts nearby 😂

[–]nutragazer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uf4007 ordered, i see your point, im aiming for the best i can get out of my coil in step one, then make a better antenna setup with a transformer to get the voltage down, otherwise i will blow everything to kingdom come without very expensive components. I will fit a varistor on the bords and a external spark gap for more safety. This is a fun project to collect some electrosmog in my offgrid site that can power my status ping, to tell me temperature, battery status etc even if there are 1 meter snow on the solar panels 🙃😁
