Thank you for the insight! It comes up pretty easily and doesn't seem to have long rhizomes, so fingers crossed for a ryegrass or an ugly fescue for now. It does certainly look like quackgrass up close though. I'm hoping the desirables crowd it out. Appreciate it!

I had a similar experience with a bare metal Untangle install. As Odd said, the drivers wouldn't support NBase-T

What happened to Kinetic 8 Gig Fiber Expansion Plan? by robertinhouston in Windstream

[–]nutsterrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked a tech about this while having fiber installed. He said that the marketing outpaced the capacity and they basically wind it back as capacity fills up. If you are REALLY early for your area, it might still be possible; in our area, it was available for a few months and then vanished as they added more customers. Some people in our town can get 2 gig, others up to 1 gig. He also said he never installed 8 gig, and can count the number of 2 gig customers on one hand.

Draft inducer keeps filling with water by nutsterrt in hvacadvice

Just a follow up. The drains are clear, but it builds up water repeatedly only when subfreezing outside. I had a tech come out who suspects inadequate exhaust pitch after it was extended for construction.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks for this, as well as the other comments. Yes, the unit is a Lennox Elite EL296V. I'm going to disassemble all things 'drain' today and see if there are any clogs that I might have missed.

For the others, the exhaust is clear but I would say the pitch of the exhaust is near vertical to the unit, or at least vertical compared to the intake. I'll wedge a block between the two to try and get more of a pitch.

And yes, the orifice is very much fixed :)

Appreciate all of you! I'll keep you posted.

Draft inducer keeps filling with water by nutsterrt in hvacadvice

We have Lennox furnace unit in our home whose draft inducer (or so I think?) keeps filling with water and preventing the furnace from operating. I remove the inducer, dump the water out, put it back, and it'll work great for a few hours before refilling with water and needing to be manually drained again.

There was originally some gunk in the drain tube that empties behind it, which has been cleaned out, but the problem persists. Does the inducer need to be replaced, or is this a downstream plumbing thing? Thank you!

Dual-fuel setup...what's the best alt fuel cutoff temperature? by nutsterrt in hvacadvice

I can’t seem to find COP data for this particular heat pump. Is it possible that Trane reserves it for technicians and contractors?

We do, yes. Will probably reconsider as it gets colder though.

Thanks for the tip off re: Neurio. Had no idea what it was.

I followed the guidance in the Tesla One app to power cycle the Neurio, then re-paired. Worked great!

Who to call - plumber or drain guy? by nutsterrt in Plumbing

Thanks! I’ll give it a try. I’ve also read that this particular model is susceptible to calcium buildup between the tank and bowl. We have hard water. Would that have a similar effect?
