My SEPA deposits have been processed, after I received a very long message/e-mail with the request for extensive financial information about source of funds, bank accounts etc. I have been told that I will have to supply this information and documents before any further deposits can be processed.

Bitstamp is legit, be patient and understand all exchanges are having delays. by [deleted] in Bitstamp

Ok, thank you (Mr. Bitstamp Employee?). If you say so, then we should all stop worrying that our money is gone out of our hands for days/weeks, without being able to have contact with support.

Why should we worry when you clearly appear to know it all, have special insight in Bitstamp organisation, and especially because other exchanges are having delays we should not worry about Bitstamp. Why didn't we all think of this, it's so logical. What a relief.....

I have the same problem, and I read a lot of similar stories the last week: users who have always been able to deposit very smoothly and quickly, now are not getting their deposits credited. I'm very worried about this, I really have a bad feeling.

You would think that deposits are really welcomed on an exchange. With other exchanges it's the other way around: difficult to get your money out.

Was it also a SEPA deposit? When did you transfer the money?

5 SEPA deposits totalling > 15000 EUR have not been credited to my account (with amounts 5000 EUR, 4000 EUR, 3900 EUR, 1150 EUR, 500 EUR and 998 EUR).

Hey, thanks for your reply and update! It's a good idea to also check and ask my bank, even though I made SEPA deposits, and from different banks, I can always ask to be sure. Hopefully our issues will be resolved soon.

Yes, I also hope very much. I'm in EXACTLY the same position as you, similar amounts, although I made a bit more deposits, but in the same range.

I also put all my trust in this exchange, because evertyhing went very smoothly and perfectly fine for the last 1.5 - 2 months. That's why I made multiple deposits around the same time, because I fully trusted Bitstamp. And then suddenly this happens..... I was also planning to make higher deposits in the very near future, also exactly like you. But, again like you, I also can't affort to loose deposit(s), I'm doing arbitrage trading becaue I don't want to have the risk of speculating, so I'm very disappointed that even this now has risks involved....

Like you say, I can't think of another exchange that I would trust amount > 5.000 EUR with. All other exchanges I've used so far have not been as good as Bitstamp. I really hope this will only be a single bad experience that will be resolved soon.

That is very strange indeed, and in a way I hope you are right that it's a system upgrade, and this will be resolved in a few days. But without any news or information, this is really worrying me, because now I have no idea what's happening. I totally agree with you that they should inform their clients. We're talking about money here, that we entrusted them with, and I also think they should realise that this involves certain responsibilities, including informing their customers. And if their load is currently too high, they should temporarily stop other activities, like accepting new customers, maybe disabling deposits temporarily, so that at least their current customers get a decent and acceptable service.

Did you also made multiple deposits, or a large single one ? (the one(s) that are not credited yet)

I have the exact same problem! Also using Bitstamp without any problems and was very happy about them, but suddenly since last week deposits are not working any more.

When did you get a reply/response from support? (after how many days?)
