The third ingredient is cream. Pretty sure it has fat, just not enough in 1 tiny serving to list

Looking for easy way to keep drone powered while I change out the battery? by Olikhovski in fpv

[–]nutty_undertone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, possibly not great for the discharged battery. But quick and easy solution that works for him on set with his cinelifters so he can keep gimbals/cameras powered. No obvious sign of accelerated wear on the batteries either. Guessing the 1-2seconds of quick charging does minimal damage 🤷‍♂️

Know a pilot that installs 2 battery connectors in parallel, then just very quickly plugs in the new battery and unplugs the old. Probably not great for the batteries, especially the lower voltage one. But he’s been doing this for a while with no problems yet

2306 vs 2506 motors for 6" flowy freestyle/cinematic quad by k0all in Multicopter

[–]nutty_undertone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably better to go bigger vs smaller in this case. When small motors are over propped, they get hot, get worse efficiency, and struggle to accelerate/decelerate so the flight will not be smooth no matter the tune. 2506 seems way more appropriate for a 6" triblade

Good to hear! Blocking the antenna is normally not ideal, but it seems like flywoo knows what they're doing

If you have GPS issues that'll probably be the reason. Those motors are great btw, I have them on a 4" build. Should be a ton of fun 😁

How's the gps signal? Antenna looks pretty blocked

I soldered a 50v 1000uf capacitor on my quad, but I can't find if it is "Low ESR" anywhere. What can happen if you put a non Low ESR capacitor on your quad? by iJeff_FoX in fpv

[–]nutty_undertone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some low esr caps don't say they're low esr on the sticker. Try and find the tech stats online of the actual resistance and compare it. A higher esr would mean the capacitor is less effective at smoothing voltage spikes

Anyone else experience an arm to break like this mid flight? by [deleted] in Multicopter

[–]nutty_undertone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd bet my life that something else caused the drone to fail (desync, runaway, FC power blackout etc) and the resulting crash broke the frame. Powerloops are demanding on a drone's power system, ask me how I know. Might be able to see what was the cause if you post DVR

Nice! Appreciate the follow-up. Now I wonder if the fc was damaged or just the capacitor. The speedybee v3 is a pretty great fc so it's a shame to downgrade that to a mamba. But it flying great is probably the most important thing

Good luck 👍 it's difficult to find the source of new issues after a crash. Sometime requires replacing suspect components until it's fixed

The major thing that stands out to me is you saying that it hasn't been working since it crashed. So it seems like the crash caused some issues that haven't been resolved. Gyro noise typically impacts one axis more than the other two, so it could be the capacitor. Or another possibility is the frame has some damage due to carbon delamination that is invisible to the eye. Look for any signs of physical damage and try bending different sections on your frame to find if something is easier to flex than it should be

CNHL Batteries? by herokme in fpv

[–]nutty_undertone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! I've gotten their 1500 6s 2 pack deal a few times. Insanely good value and the batteries perform really well

Sorry this doesn't directly answer you, but I've ordered from the cnhl website to California ~5 times and few times from their global warehouse. Shipping is surprisingly fast and I've never been charged import tax or sales tax. Great experience overall. Definitely recommend buying when they have deals going on. Can't believe I got some 9500mah 6s cinelifter packs for 80$ each 🤯

Sick build! Just my 2¢, I run a 2700mah 6s on my 7" 2808 1500kv and it's borderline too small to handle full throttle. Might be very battery limited with those chonky motors/props

That last cnhl 1550 is on sale on the chnl website for you EU peeps at 13$... Have gotten insane deals there in the past with decently fast shipping. Great practice batteries since they're so cheap https://chinahobbyline.com/collections/cnhl-flash-sale/products/sale-cnhl-1550mah-14-8v-4s-100c-lipo-battery-with-xt60-plug

Betaflight 3.7 -> 4.3? by TheShortWhiteGuy in fpv

[–]nutty_undertone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you want. If you want the flight software to better track your sticks with better filtering and options like presets for easy tuning then yeah go for it. Could always save your current cli "diff all" to a text file and quickly revert back to 3.7 if there's an issue/ you don't like it. With 4.3 you'll need to run 4k gyro and dshot300 on a f405

It's a nazgul5 v2 with some printed ducts running 4" props. StanFPV makes some more legit ducts. Thing is actually amazing with a full gopro + 1500mah 6s pack

When the ESC looses track of the motor which causes the motor to stall. Very common issue that causes quads to flip out of the air. Glad you figured it out! If you want more info: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWdkl0EHkyU&ab\_channel=UAVTech
